Can you believe this has gone on so long? People give me great ideas and Voila–Part Three. As long as we are all learning and sharing, it is all good. I am a Gemini and learning MUST be fun.

I am an avid reader. I know that some books are denser than others,by their nature and complexity. I love Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte. These will not be quick reads like Sue Graphton( my current favorite writer). However, I will not spend time with a book, website or material that is trying to be esoteric for the sake of showing off or due to lack of clarity on the subject.

I have a pet peeve about this, after being subject to dense, boring tomes in graduate school. At any rate, for purposes of this article, let’s look at ourselves because we all have insecurities and let’s have fun.

1 Venus Retrograde

I like many of the retrograde planets because they make for depth. I have several, myself– Mercury,Chiron, Saturn and Neptune. Some I enjoy and some I don’t. I have Mercury Retrograde in Gemini, which is it’s home, so it makes it easier. However, I learn in a strange way. I used to be embarrassed about my quirks but now I accept them. I cannot copy a mirror image, such as one must do when one learns to dance and the teacher if facing the class. I can’t learn physical movements well, such as how to use a Nautilus machine.

I have to study every subject from the most basic level in order to understand it, whether it be Astrology or Biology, but then I can be very creative with it.

I have Chiron Retrograde, which I don’t like because it is a deep understanding of pain, from having experienced it.

I have Neptune Retrograde which I do like because it is a deep spirituality. I say all this to lead into my subject of Venus Retrograde, which is the hardest Retrograde and by far, in my opinion.

Venus Retrograde may guard her heart to such a degree that she may construct her own prison. It is not because she does not care, so much as that she cares TOO much and love hurts too much. Be gentle with this placement. They may bite as a fear biter dog, not to use a canine reference in an untoward way. It is simply that the dog looks aggressive, but fear is the reason, not confidence.

2. Unaspected Moon

This native was not mothered. He is, usually, an amazing person–loving and giving. However, he has too much sensitivity to everything, as if he has a giant sunburn. Be gentle with him, too.

3. Aphophis conjunct the Child Asteroid

This native had a very chaotic childhood. The chaos was, most likely, very destructive. This is a sad one.

4. Nessus oppose the Child Asteroid

I have this with Nessus in the 8th House. This would be a sign of child abuse, which I had. However, the opposition may be intermittent abuse, if you could call it that. By that, I mean that, at times, I was treated very well. However, at times I was treated very badly. It did go back and forth. Hence, I postulate that the opposition reflects this, although it is a working theory.

5. Dejanira conjunct the Child Asteroid

This is a sad one. Dejanira is the victim. The lovely Child Asteroid reveals the innocence and beauty of the child. Hence, when the victim asteroid conjuncts this, we see the child victimized

6. Unaspected Mars
This guy is out of control. I say that affectionately because I love someone who has it, but I must say the truth, as well. This Mars can go from zero to ninety at the drop of a hat.

7. Sun combust the Moon
The combust is hard, in any case. The combust is technically a one to five orb. I find that the latter degrees are not as bad. The closer degrees can be nuclear. If there is an exact combust of the Sun and the Moon, the person may be very sensitive to sleights. The reason is that the head and heart are not detached enough. Think of taking a bone away from a dog.

8. Venus conjunct Pluto( exact)
Someone very close to me had this. A failed relationship destroyed his life. These natives become very, very obsessed when they are in love. He had the exact conjunction in the 8th House and in Scorpio. That would be about as bad as it could get.

9. Lucifer conjunct the Sun
In order to have full disclosure, I will tell you that I cannot stand the Lucifer Asteroid. I cannot stand people who argue for the sake of arguing, especially the type pf person who will argue ANY side, as long as she can try to look better than you *Sigh* Don’t hate me because I am human.

10. Lucifer conjunct the Ascendant

This aspect would be similar to the Sun but the Ascendant/Lucifer native would be more combative in daily life, whereas the Sun/Lucifer native would be more combative on the job, but the distinctions are really blurred in these cases. Lucifer makes for an egomaniac with an inferiority complex. Don’t hate me because I am beautiful.

Lucifer conjunct the sun here. (<1 degree)

That's crap! You're so wrong.
Now I will argue with you because you're wrong. You're wrong because I say you're wrong.

I've heard 2nd house Chiron can give you some self-worth issues...I do have it (it's retrograde too) and I can confirm this, especially related to physical appearance...

I see the 2nd House Chiron as more money than self esteem, but others disagree.

Desn't the 2nd house rule self worth? I have Chiron in 2nd and most of my insecurities are physical but not to the point of eating disorder. Its in Cancer and my mother wasn't in my life to teach me these things.

I read once that the native with this placement doesn't think they are worthy of finding a job or something that makes them financially stable. Like skipping out on that interview for a high paying, awesome job because they automatically don't believe they will get it or good enough for it.

I don't agree with the people who think the 2nd House is self worth. I think it is what the classic astrologers say-- money etc

The relationship between money and values/self worth should be examined, from a psychological standpoint. How one saves money, spends money, accepts money, etc. I think that's pretty obvious but maybe not to some.
