From their childhood, past relationships do you think certain signs or placements are awful at this?

Aargh. Gosh, I can't find an answer to this that's not a cliché. But a cliché is one for a reason, right?

Almost any Scorp placement. Unless they have a healthy amount of Sag in the chart.

Personal planets in 8th, Plutonic moon/venus (by that I mean Scorp moon/venus, moon/venus in 8th or moon/venus-aspect-pluto) - love has the capacity to devastate them, utterly.

Special mention: Cancer mars.

P.S. I'm thinking this post has a little something to do with recent Mr Scorpio?

Edit: We should probably include synastry in this. People who are normally easy-going can once in a while be struck by a mad love, the ties to which are binding. Major glue interaspects could also be the factor in difficulty letting go.

Hey!

No it had to do with me actually.

Things seem to hurt me forever, whereas I know people that just let it go and forget it!

Right, yeah, that's what I meant. I remember you saying at the end of that thread - about how hard it was to let things go.

What are your other placements btw? Moon/Merc/Venus/Mars/Pluto?

I agree. In my experience, water and some earth, like Capricorn... H8 placements. Not really sure about Virgo and Taurus, but I'm thinking that Virgo could be responsible for holding onto resentments.

Unless, as you mentioned, there are some fire placements like Sag and Aries to cancel it out.

My husband and my mom both have Cap Moons and H8 placements, but my husband has a lot of fire/air (Sag, Leo, Aquarius) to balance it, and very little water in his chart.
My husband rarely, if ever, holds onto resentment for longer than about two minutes.

My mom is a Cancer Sun with Scorpio Asc, and she NEVER forgets a slight. Although she's an expert at forgetting crappy things that she's done herself, lol.

I have water/H8 placements, and Cap Mars. I require either therapy, or tremendous introspection before I can forgive or get over hurt/anger. It's not fun.

Yes, with me pain never really goes. I don't forget it completely ever really. I know people who just let go and don't let it stay inside!

My placements are:

Sun, Scorp
Moon, Pisces (7th house)
Merc, Sag
Venus, Scorp
Mars, Leo
Saturn, Virgo
Asc, Libra

Yeah, At this point in my life I feel like most days I am still processing sadness caused by something from 1 year ago or more.It takes forever to 'get over'that stuff, and I'm learning to just accept that being the way I feel from now on.

Moon is in my 8th, in Libra. I am Cap sun in the 12th. Pluto in Scorpio in 8th. My moon is also way more dominant than my sun, aspecting almost everything in my chart (My sun is very 'quiet'.) So yes, my emotions rage pretty hard all the time under the surface and when something breaks my heart, I feel it. I always lose tons of sleep and weight. I suffer health problems. It's just the way I am.

My husbands doesn't forget, barely forgives, anything. He's an Aries Sun, Taurus Moon. Cap Mars. Pisces Venus/Asc.

I forgive almost everything and forget nothing. Cancer Sun, Cap Moon. Virgo Mars, Asc.

My mom doesn't forget anything either. Not sure if she forgives but if she doesn't, she's a good player. Scorpio Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury.

This is true. Four planets in the eighth house (including moon conjunct pluto); cancer mars, and venus parallel pluto, here.

I have no planets at all in the 8th house.

I sometimes feel my moon in pisces and the 7th house makes me very dependent on actions of others for my own emotions though

Unlike most Scorpios, i am VERY forgiving, but I think much of that is down to working through things in my own life - reading - learning the beauty of forgiveness as part of my own journey.

The one person I am very hard on is myself. Often feeling unworthy of love, often feeling to blame for the actions of others and allowing myself to feel pain unusually deeply

Well, that Pisces moon alone is quite a handful. Add to that Sun & Venus in Scorp - and you know what that makes it. And yeah, moon in the 7th needs a partner to feel complete - emotionally very influenced by the S.O.

Don't know any quick fixes or magic mantra for dealing with any of this. But one thing I've learnt, is you have to live it.

The best way out is through.

I feel you. It's the cross that people who feel deeply have to bear. You're a Pisces sun too, right? Sensitivity and depth of feeling together create a massive ripple effect for outside negativity; that you have to deal with for a long time to come.

Yep, Pisces Sun here. I personally believe that my Saturn in Cancer also contributes, even though it's considered semi-generational. It's not a good placement for it, and it's in H11.

Moon in hard aspect to Saturn and/or Pluto.

Add to that some Scorpio energy and you're pretty much f**ked.

Hmm.. I've heard that meditation works. It bears looking into.

So far, I just go for retail therapy. Also, #StuffYourFaceWithFood therapy.

truth.

added with afflicted Cap ASC, and reincarnation can seem quite futile.

It's funny, someone I know once told me that she forgets easily, it's hard for me to ask her because she always says she barely remembers.

She often uses "I don't remember" when people confront her with issues/questions.

Pisces moon has to be near the top of the list imo.

I don't mean that in a bad way because although they feel the pain like it was yesterday they do continue to function normally. When they "revisit" the pain, there it is just as powerful as ever.
