I would like to hear your opinions and experiences with this aspect natally or in transit.I already have transit Saturn conjuct my Moon in H6 and in a few weeks he will be square to my Mars in H9 & Saturn in H2. Around April when transit Mars stations to go retro, he will also be squaring my natal Saturn H2 a couple of times. DW of strong energies, and all this with my Moon in the middle. Ugh! What should I be expecting between these two?!?

I don't have the square, I have the opposition, but they should be similar. I wouldn't necessarily say it has to do with releasing fears, but more so of being restricted. You could feel possibly restricted from being able to express your anger or desires, and you could also feel like the world is restricting you in some way. Personally, expressing anger was a big issue for me, but overtime, I've learned to be able to express it more and more without feeling blocked. It can also make you either hold yourself back or over-exert yourself. I constantly feel like I should be putting more effort into my music career, and I should be at the level of artists like Au5, despite only producing for less than a full two years. Fears though can color certain judgements, such as how someone may react to certain situations. Learning to overcome these fears would be most certainly vital. IP: Logged |

Thanx for your reply Electro! I think I understand what you mean by restrictions. I also have the opposition in a wide orb, around 5-6 degrees. Natal Saturn's also retro with Mars in Pisces so, I suppose you can imagine how difficult it is to move ahead in most situations. With the transits taking place, I was hoping, despite the difficulties, I will manage to release subconscious fears I have been struggling with nearly all of my life.Doesn't hurt to hope

Well maybe it will; after all, you can't truly predict the future. I just thought I might drop in my experiences with this aspect IP: Logged |

The transit configuration you describe can be quite challenging.1. Saturn conjunct natal Moon becomes the focal point or 'anchor' here. You may find it is temporarily necessary to deny yourself some surface gratifications and take time to learn to better separate 'needs' from 'wants' during this internal maturing phase. You may find that some of the ways in which you have engaged with female figures in your life are no longer beneficial. A failure or two during this period may be necessary in order to learn some valuable lessons and move forward in your personal growth. Everyone has failures, so don't let it sabotage your self-worth. Experience is the real teacher. Some things aren't worth holding onto. 2. The Saturn transit square your natal Mars-Saturn also suggests that this period will also involve some examination of how your emotions and internal reactions have been feeding into your aims, actions, ambitions, and any feelings of frustration you've left unresolved. A big theme is 'consequences' related to inner psychology, your motivations, and how those play into goals and actions. This isn't about judging right or wrongness, but seeing the effects of your inner life on outer behavior and your ability to move forward without frustration. Moon in Sagittarius often shows a personality that has difficulty understanding and accepting real differences between human beings and their individual needs. This is a time to accept some limits and be more clear within yourself of your true needs.

I have this transit going on right now too. Saturn just conjuncted my moon at 7° Sag, and is about to square my Virgo sun at 15°, and Virgo mars at 22°.I've had to really clamp down on what I want out of life, what I'm willing to work for, and how I need to go about it. And there's other pursuits that I've moved cross country for that just haven't been forthcoming. Saturn square mars may cause hard work?? Starting 2 years ago, I took a job where I had to get in at 5AM during the week... IP: Logged |

Great explanation, as always Kannon. Thank you! I do need things being clear and understood as much as possible at this time. Transit Neptune is also in the picture with these two, opposing nSaturn, almost sitting on nMars and square nMoon. Sometimes I feel I am losing control of the most simple things. Mental confusion, anxiety and often very long phases of depression. Any way I turn there are struggles and restrictions. Not sure when, but at some point soon I know I am going to explode! The positive side to transit Saturn conjuct Moon at the moment is that my emotions are better controlled and not flying all over the place like they usually do. It's a start to emotional maturity

Depends on what Saturn does in your natal already to those planets. I do not have a Saturn aspect to my Venus and Mars (which are conjunct in my 1H), and right now I am going through tSaturn Square both. If I'm to be very honest, the energy is working for me. I needed a kick in the pants. What I am finding is that my brain cycles through the typical mentalities I get by with, some good (and I recognize as good) and some harmful (victim mentality, helplessness, feeling restless or trapped, etc.) And instead of giving into the negatives, I'm finding the older, wiser saturn in me rolling its eyes and going "oh this again? Ok how do we use this and change this?" So in my relationship, I've gone through every single insecurity while my poor BF has done nothing to cause them, thrown his hands up and been like "wtf is wrong!?!?" ... Causing me to realize, oh, ok, this is ME. My insecurity. My fear. My immature thought patterns I need to change. ^ That's Saturn working with Venus, because it leaves it alone natally. So I've already shifted gears and instead of letting my negatives get in the way of our relationship, I'm writing them down, working on them, diving into where they come from and finding a solution. Already this is working out well and SO and I are on a very good page together at the moment. As far as mars is concerned, I need that motivation. I'm ambitious, but at the sign of conflict or negativity, I have an infuriating habit of putting my head in the ground. This transit has been showing me how that has not been serving me, and forcing me to be a bit more practical. Sure, I can practice my music for 8 hours a day, but if I don't actually put it in FRONT of anyone, what am I actually doing with any of these opportunities? etc. In short: tSaturn square is finally helping me be my own boss, which is something I've been needing for awhile. So do not get scared; just look at what Saturn's doing already in your natal and see what holes it might be filling during these transits.
