this year i felt a huge change in myself, in the way i view the world, interacted with people, my expectations for them, what i'm attracted to, my interests. there is also a huge desire for learning that was reignited and fanned.

and checking my progressed chart i found that -

my sun has just progressed into aquarius (1 degree) from capricorn (same house)

moon now in libra and in the 5th house (normally cap and 8th house)
mercury now in aquarius (same house but use to be capricorn)
venus now in sagittarius (still 6th house)
mars has stayed in virgo but now retrograde (it's 0 degrees so will be in leo soon) and in 4th house (usually 5th)

so for me i'm feeling all the effects, capricorn tarot or astrological readings no longer resonate or are accurate for me, aquarius is.

i'm alot more social, more popular with people, i'm no longer drawn as strongly to earth energies but now surrounded by alot of air signs, especially aquarius sun and moons.

i have a huge huge interest in now mainly mathematics, physics, economics, and philosophy. funny enough! in fact when it comes to dating now my kryptonite is men that can do math (ie. have or doing a degree in mathematics) or just men that can teach me something. last two guys i was interested in - one was doing a phd in mathematics and the other had a joint degree in economics and politics. alot of self control was needed to just sit next to them cause apparently now even taking about those topics with attractive men get me hot and bothered

i'm also revisiting my views on marriage and family life. not saying i've decided to become polyamorous but i'm not sitting on the fence on a lot of things that i use to be very traditional on, ie whether i even want to get married.

i don't know if it's because my progressed mars is now retrograde but the main overarching feature for me now is almost a desperation to learn. i remember i was sitting around the end of december (turns out to be when my sign changed to 0 degrees aq) thinking 'i'm going to be stuck with myself for the rest of my life, the least i can do is make myself the most interesting person i know'

and after that... i dunno, i started becoming interested in a variety of subjects, started going out more and interacting with people, dancing, laughing, having fun, i'm more keen now than ever to try new things that scared me before hand like rock climbing and pottery and i'm working my way up to trying krav maga.

also may be my mars retrograde but my type of men has changed as well, i'm no longer looking at the quiet mellow guys but the swaggy cocky arrogant ******** .. i'm now attracted to them when before i found them obnoxious. i dunno.

so yeah

a month in roughly and i feel like i've changed so much already but that theres still such a way to go.

No doubt you are undergoing some major personal growth. The birth chart just marks the astrological starting place for this.

We also all need to experience variety to keep growing and avoid stagnation and it sounds like you are accomplishing that brilliantly!

[b]Progressions - the change you are experiencing is only partly from changes of signs by progressed planets, but mostly marked by prog Jupiter [21S00] almost exactly Parallel natal Neptune [21S01] (while transiting Jupiter is now trine your natal Neptune & Uranus). This is a great progression for awakening your ideals and your fascination with the world, and will last about 4 more years.

Also, you'll have Venus progressed to a parallel to natal Moon before the end of the year. So that will be a chance for some good, growing relations with women, family, and allows for more tender, affectionate relations with individuals than usual. It will last roughly Sept 2016-17.

The quickness and suddenness of this change and the craving for both learning and social interaction points heavily to a possible Jupiter transit as well. On New Years Day 2016 Jupiter was at 23 Virgo [3N51]. Now Rx at 22VIR52 [4N16].

You are also experiencing Pluto in transit parallel your natal Uranus-Neptune positions at 21 south. That is electric spiritual growth spurts and awakening opportunity.

There may be some synchronicity/simultaneity between your progressions (Sun, planets into Aqua) and transits, but most of what you are describing *dings* the Jupiter bell.

However, ignoring your birth chart in favor of just the progressed chart is misguided. The progressed chart only has meaning in reference to its starting line in the birth chart.

Consider that Saturn has not yet transited opposite your real Asc. Jupiter may have. If so, some of the level of your described enthusiasm will subside in several weeks and calm down.

Difficult to say how much, but definitely not as much as your birth chart. I have also had periods of transits or combined trans/prog in which I felt far more outgoing, even denied I was an introvert, but things calmed down.

We need these breakthroughs, whatever triggers/accompanies them, in order to awaken latent parts of ourselves.

Well, for one thing, I entered high school and my high school classmates seemed to have a totally different and much better first impression of me than my grade school peers did. Socially it was a rocky transition, going over that cusp, but the end result was better than I could have hoped for. I loved high school.

Also, my mother died when my pr sun was at 0 Aqua. And that set the tone for many other changes.
