Colin Firth is so obviously a Virgo. And makes Darcy a Virgo.

And I forget the other Darcy's name! He seemed Capricorn to me.

In the book, Darcy was more argumentative and could have been a Sadge, maybe with Cap Venus.

What do you think, bluestskies?

And which one did you prefer?

Interesting how the Virgo Darcy seemed to walk with heavier energy than the Cap Darcy. Virgo Darcy is sexier, Cap Darcy; I want to start a little farm on the countryside with him.

Now Mr. John Thornton? I love him to death. He's so beautiful and sexy and mean, and who gets MORE attractive when they're broke? John does.

What do you think his placements are? Richard Armitage has Virgo Moon and Merc, Sun in Leo on the cusp of Virgo. I think I see a lot of Richard's Leo Sun in Mr. Thornton. That's probably why I love him

Maybe Thornton has a square between personal planets in Leo and Scorpio.

Sorry I can't throw a pic of John up now.
Oh and my opinion is based on the movies.

I love this movie!

Only a Virgo man would struggle to speak in front of, much less start a conversation with, a woman. Or creep around the outskirts of a party...or pull the disappearing act for no reason...I say this as I re-watch the movie.

I shall be back.

Virgo sun with Libra Venus:

I think it depends on whom is playing Darcy in the movies. I haven't read the book to try and figure out what kind of Darcy there is there.

But I always thought that the general scope of the character was of someone who was terrified of looking ridiculous. So they cared a great deal about people's opinions.

But they also longed to break free of the social restrictions imposed on them. Hence the attraction to Lizzie.

I would say Asc in Cancer/Sun in Virgo/Moon in Aquarius.

I always thought that the character of Mr. Darcy was your typical introverted, uptight, slightly arrogant Capricorn male stereotype. He fancies Lizzy but can't quite get up the nerve to talk to her at first, regardless of his 'superior social position'. When he finally does attempt to connect with her he sort of screws it up, and leaves her with a bad impression. She mistakes his shyness for him being conceited a dick-head. I'm referencing the character in general here not any particular movie/mini-series.

I suspected a Capricorn Sun, Moon in Scorpio, and something else in Virgo... Like Mars, which made him fastidious and picky. Perhaps he has a Sag Mercury though as in the book he can be kind of opinionated, and direct in certain ways.

I think that Lizzy is a fire sign for sure. She's kind of like a sarcastic free spirit, and she's warm, playful, and sociable. At first she just doesn't understand who Darcy really is and takes his behavior too much at face value.

Jane Austen herself was a Sag with Virgo rising and Moon in Libra. I tend to think that Lizzy is like a idealized version of Austen herself, and the Mr. Darcy is a version of Austen's ideal man. In her chart Austen has Neptune in Virgo ruling her Pisces Dsc, and Capricorn on the 5th house cusp... Which matches the image of an uptight aloof Earth sign type of guy, who underneath it all is actually quite sensitive and caring.

I always thought that Pride and Prejudice was an opposites attracting story, about how a Air/Fire girl could totally misunderstand where an Earth/Water guy is coming from in the beginning, thinking him too stand offish and unfriendly.

yeah, Darcy's character was super introverted, and cared what other people think. No so familiar with Asc in Cancer, but i do think with a virgo sun, it's hard for them to express what they feel, it being an earthly sign like capricorn.
