So I have this with my 8 year old daughter. I am Venus. We have an intense relationship, no doubt about that.

I'd like to hear if anyone has this with their child and how they have dealt with it. She definitely tries to be controlling of me and that is hard as a parent.

I think the venus person might be a little obsessed with the pluto person. So if the parent is venus i think he/she can be or try to be too much into the pluto child`s business and be overbearing and might often talk a lot about their child to other people and come off as obsessed with their child. Jealousies might occur too from both ends and some power struggles. The bond can be deep between the two but also draining at the same time.

Yeah, it is deep and draining, for sure. Sometimes I just want to get away, then I feel horrible for feeling that way.

We are also both water moons and have some 12th house synastry, se we are pretty intuitive with each other.

looking at the condition of your own Venus will help you to understand what you need to learn and then teach your daughter. Also, do you have anything in Leo, Scorp, or Aqua? Those are the signs Venus goes Rx in every 7-8 years. I think those signs can give a clue about Venus themed lessons.

I have Venus-Jupiter-Saturn conjunct in Libra/Virgo.

I have Sun, mercury, and Uranus in Scorpio.
