I assume that "weak" here means that it doesn't make many aspects and/or in detriment/fall?

I'm not sure about "weak". An afflicted 5th house ruler, however, may point to a lack of interest in having children, delayed or s.t similar. Although it can also mean difficulties in areas that the 5th house cover, like self-expression...etc...

I have 3 kids and can't remember being child free.

The 5th house is not weak as I see it. It courage to express your self and to have or not have kids.

5th house in taurus, pof is here only which trines sun (virgo 9H), squares venus/mars (leo 8H)

i love kids and get along with them very very well ^_^
i'm over 30 and i'm still not sure if i want kids or not... if i can't provide the most stable enviroment to them i'd rather not have any children.

5th house occupied by aries and taurus with saturn R in aries - I have 2 birth daughters and one grandson, one step daughter, one step son and they all make me incredibly happy and proud.

I find that saturn has affected me more on a personal inhibition level than anything related to my kids.

Yes, by weak i mean it doesn't make a lot of aspects and i have one conjunction only and it's a bit wide.

It's not afflicted but I'm not interested in having kids. I always wondered why my Jupiter have aspects that aren't strong enough.

Pluto is in my 4th.

All 3 of my kids have moon in 1st, I am a Cancer rising.

From the few charts I have seen, certain Planets/nodes in the 1st/7th house indicate a life theme of self rather the kids.

Amazing!! I have Pluto in the 4th too. My mom is Cancer Rising and my sister has Moon in her 1st house too!!!!!

I have NN in the first house tho I have no idea what that means. In the 7th house I have Uranus, Mars and Jupiter.

Many people have children out of a sense of obligation, proof (of many things), and so on (plenty of times, they don't even really think about it, it's just "what's on the agenda" and they're going along with it without pausing to think about it). That is, the 5H isn't the only factor here.

That, and 5H can also be directed to creative endeavors of all sorts, not just children (and a strong 5H may eschew children to focus on their art or what have you).

My 5th house house cusp ruler is Mercury(Virgo 5th) and Mercury aspects Mars by square. Does that mean that I will have children who are argumentative /talk back? I don't know and hope not

And what if someone has the ruler of their 5th house(Sun)conjunct Neptune? Will this indicate the propensity for children with special needs/introverted or even those that have rare artistic abilities?

I have Gemini 5th house cusp. My mama thinks if and when I ever become pregnant, I will have twins. Mind you, Angelina Jolie has this same placement.

Classically, you look at the sign on the 5H cusp to determine fertility, and the Ptolemaic aspects being made by the 5H ruler (aspecting, not separating) will indicate the potential number of children.

Mine is Gemini, a barren sign in general, and MERCURY only has one forming aspect - conjunction to my chart ruler, URANUS. Thus, I have the potential for a single child (or twins - falls under "one" birth, and is under the purview of Gemini, the "twin" sign).

^^the barren signs are Virgo, Gemini and Leo, right? Do you know whether the barren signs on the 5th house cusp greatly decrease the liklihood of biological children, or only somewhat? Been wanting to take a survey on this actually.

I guess as with anything we would need to look at all factors together. My lover has Virgo on his 5th house cusp--it is intercepted by Libra though (his Venus is peregrine though conjunct Chiron). His Mercury is only making separating aspects to his planets (includes a Mars conjunction though) and no Ptolemaic aspects to planets applying (there is a quincunx to Uranus and a square to the Midheaven.. somehow I don't think that square counts?). Any insight appreciated Been wondering whether it's likely or even possible for him to have children.

Never wanted my own children but I'm open to adoption. I know it's weird but...I feel like I've seen people have their own babies. It doesn't 'wow' me or fill me with wonder at this point. I suppose I'm just more detached but still affectionate. Taking a child that's already here and providing for them, loving them, seems like a noble thing I'm capable of doing. I don't know. I just don't want something like that as "mine."

Anyway, I have Libra ruling my 5th and Venus isn't in terrible shape...

Venus in Aries 11H (okay, maybe a little rough.)
conjunct Sun and Mercury in Aries
sextile Mars in Gemini 12H
square Saturn in the 7th.
semi-square Jupiter.

Pluto is also in my 5th. Never felt the urge, but LOVE creativity and art and music.

My 5H is empty. Pisces is on the cusp. Neptune is Sagittarius in 2H making 2 semisextiles, a sextile to 12H and 2 squares to 2 barren planets in a barren sign in 11H (the house of adoption). Venus is conjunct my south node in Aquarius 4H. In vedic, the Aqua Venus/SN conjunction moves to 5H. This makes Saturn (planet of loss) the 5H ruler in 12H (house of loss), Virgo. Venus rules 7H too. So, very heavily karmic for me unfortunately.

Most astrologers try to avoid discussing my prospects for family. Or they assume I have no interest in it. I don't have interest in an abusive relationship (too much exposure already). But I did hope for a happy marriage and children.

Though I'm open to adoption, I don't have any children & doubt I will have biological children since the clock is almost out. I also don't have a partner. Personally, I don't want to parent alone. Even if I met someone later in life, I wonder if I'd want to start raising a child. They change couple dynamics so much.

But I just really feel sad that I missed the boat. As a younger woman, I looked forward to motherhood and pregnancy.

I have Mercury, Uranus, and Mars in my 5th house.

I have one daughter and she is very Mercurial. Also quite rebellious and very smart. That is Uranus for ya!
