Hi all,

I recently met some people who are really needy from the start, it's just the vibe I got from them. So I would like to know if any of you know what placements or aspects make someone needy and clingy in relationships?

I think it's probably relative. What you think is clingy, someone else may not.

In my experience cancer sun has been clingy. Even with heavy Gemini influence. That was my perspective.

I`ve noticed that scorpio/pluto influence in a chart can be intense and clingy if that scorpion/plutonian likes to talk and hang out with you. Cancer venuses i have esp noticed can be very clingy and needy with family, friends and lovers. Leo placements can also be needy and might need a lot of attention sometimes. Esp leo moons i have noticed.

Speaking as a Sag stellium (with moon), that would be everyone without a Sag stellium.

And being serious now...I'm currently with someone who has a Scorpio Venus and Mars along with Cancer moon. Had I known from the start, I'd have fled before anything came of it as those are 3 placements that scared me as being "smothering at best." (I've had to deal with some serious stalkers in the past, and when I knew their birthday, they always featured prominent Scorpio or Cancer placements. Plus, the way they get described.)

And yet, it's not so bad. This time. Maybe it's the Sag sun that helps take the edge off the Scorpio and Cancer placements, or maybe just maturity or possibly being too tired to let those aspects dominate. She requires more than I do, but she's not clingy or smothering, and I can handle it.

And that said...those placements seem to be the most desired on LL as the most attentive and sincere (and least likely to mind clinging behavior, and may be frightfully clingy himself, as in someone I'd personally get a restraining order against), and yet I don't think I see more of these placements (plus Scorpio sun) cried over for how they treat the said person than any other. Scorpio, especially, I'd place as the "beware what you wish for (because you wish for it until you have it and find your heaven is a hell)." Perhaps it's because those with these placements get pursued the most (as they're the most desired), since I can't help but notice that plenty with other placements cause people to post here with the exact same questions or complaints about mind games, etc.
