I' ve been wondering lately why although I love astrology for ages, only now I began really studying it. I imagine there is not a single aspect or planet that indicates someone is going to love and/or study astrology, but I am curious to know about others' experiences, too. Which aspects in your natal chart have "pushed" you into astrology studies? I know that Uranus is considered the planet related to astrology, but I am sure there are other factors, too. I tried to answer my own question, meaning why I began studying it this specific time of my life and I have come to some conclusions, although I am very interested in your opinions, too.
Natally I have a very tight sun - uranus aspect, in fact it's the second tightest aspect in my chart.
Sun 0 32' Leo - Uranus 0 42' Saggitarius, with Uranus as the only planet in my 10th house.
My first tightest aspect is Mars 24 04' conjunct Pluto 24 13' in Libra, I know how it sounds, lol, but I guess these planets being in Libra and in the 9th house (philosophy, higher education, ideals, spirituality) perhaps has something to do with it, too.
Secondly, I recently had my progressed Moon changing signs, EXACTLY the same time I began studying astrology. And, simultaneously, my progressed Moon in saggitarius conjuncted my natal and my progressed Uranus in the 9th house.
Do you think any of these is relevant?
Would any of you like to share your experience regarding why or when you began learning astrology and which aspects of your natal chart you believe is related to this?
I am looking forward to your answers!!
Thank you!!!

Of course

I've always been interested in astrology, since I was about five years old and first heard of it.

In college I tried to do manual chart construction but I felt it was too hard, even though it probably wasn't. But I knew my rising sign by around age 18.

I picked up an ephemeris for the first time in 2011. My first reaction was disbelief and even ridicule: how could I take this seriously when I have a planet in almost every one of the signs??

How can anyone take this seriously?

I didn't realize until later that not everyone has that.

Transits in that time frame, of picking up the ephemeris:

* Tr Saturn (sun's ruler) conjunct my Pluto (ruler of my NN).
* Tr Jupiter conjunct my 9H Jupiter, roundabouts. Tr Uranus entering my 9H also.
* Tr Neptune just entered Pisces & my 8th house.
* My Vertex axis conjunct the transiting nodes, with my pr moon on the tr SN.

Natal aspects that I find relevant:

* Asteroid Urania exactly conjunct my Saturn
* 8H moon trine Scorpio NN -> interest in the occult
* Aquarius Mercury square Scorpio Uranus -> doing things differently
* Pisces moon, Venus-Neptune....just believing that this was real, from a young age. Possibly a past life body of knowledge that became "instinctive" in this life...or just gullibility, as I believed Santa was real, too.

But I lost Santa, and astrology just got more and more real over time. I have numerous Saturn-Neptune links in my chart, so "substantiating" (Saturn) "the nebulous" (Neptune) feels like my calling. Especially with tr Saturn on my Neptune nowadays.

Please don't quote.

@Faith
Thanks for you answer, your story is very interesting! I remember I knew my ascendant since I was little, too! And then in university I even looked at my charts, or the charts of my family, but I was clueless! I remember I thought by conjunction we mean two planets being in the same sign, sextile 2 signs etc.!!!
Thanks for mentioning the transits, I forgot to take a look at them! Actually I didn't even look to the progressions on purpose, I was reading about progressions in general and after I saw my progressed Moon changing sign and conjuncting Uranus, then it occurred to me that maybe this is relevant!
I don't remember the exact day that I started studying passionately (lol), but it was around 20-25 November, maybe I should look to my confirmation mail from lindaland
For example, for 25th November, which is the latest possible date, I had :
1) tr. Sun on natal Uranus and therefore trining my natal Sun
2) tr. NN trining my Ascendant and sextiling natal Mercury (I don't know if this is relevant)
3) tr. Neptune on my POF (but it's there since the summer I think) and
4) maybe, if the day is right, tr. Moon on my IC

Is any of these striking to you? I' ll go check my email, seriously, lol!
