This needs to be broken down very clearly in no uncertain terms. Chiron is the 'wounded' healer. Notice that 'wounded' is the descriptor of a pre-existing condition related to mortality. Chiron is not a 'wounder.'
Chiron is the healer.
The mythology is very clear, and the collective consciousness named this asteroid appropriately. Chiron was the wise centaur who lived in harmony with both humans and gods, being in harmony with both animal and human nature (higher/lower nature) within himself. This allowed him supreme knowledge of natural healing, astrology, animals, hunting, and understanding and skill in teaching children.
So to answer your question ...
It depends upon your intention.
The biggest challenge for many of us is to understand nothing happens to us without some level of permission. If our intention is left latent, things continue based upon past momentum and the momentum of those/society around us. If we focus and activate our intention with the awareness it has power, then we can gain healing, rather than further 'wounds.'
Many people get stuck here, because Chiron is that all-important narrow bridge from the conventional planets to the transcendent ones where we learn that things do not happen 'to us', but are created by us, from us, in cooperation with what/who we allow.
