I'm thinking about a different way that this placement can be interpreted!

I have Saturn in the 8th house natally BUT in the whole signs system it's in my 9th. I read that this placement can make someone narrow minded. I just don't fit this description, no way.

So... Cancer is the mother of the zodiac and Capricorn is the father(I read this a lot), so Saturn in this house might actually be more about the father than the individual with this placement(in some cases). Thinking about it, makes sense like 100% for me.

My father is very restrictive about religion, he's so narrow minded. He tries a lot to put his belief system down my throat. I feel suffocated He's restrictive about letting me live alone in another country(about this i understand him tho it's sad because i want to have an experience living abroad). But mostly he keeps talking about his religion when i don't fu***ng want to. I pushed myself away from my family(i feel bad whenever i think about it) bc i don't want to be like them.

Do you have this placement? How is it manifesting in your life?
Share your thoughts please ty

I have this placement, Pisces Saturn in 9th house conjunct MC.

I'm not exactly sure if this relates to my father, but I do relate with your experience of religion.

My mom isn't super hardcore Christian (although my stepdad is), but she is very much set in her beliefs. She's always sending texts to read scripture and reminding me to pray every day and telling me why I should be thankful for God (.. or else), but for the past few years I've honestly felt this disconnect with religion. I'm not going to go into too much detail as to why I don't care for religion, but I will say that as a minority, I find it odd to embrace and pray to a God that was enforced upon others through threats, abuse, and often death.

My mom doesn't know that I no longer identify as Christian and thankfully she doesn't push too much when I don't offer much commentary to the scripture she sends, but I don't look forward to the day she does. I can just anticipate all of the guilt tripping that will ensue. When gay marriage became legal and she found out that I supported it, it seemed like all hell broke loose lol... So yeah. I just do as little as possible to fly by until that time arrives.

Besides that though, I personally say to go for it and live abroad if you can! And IT IS possible! I've read a few interpretations on Saturn in 9th and many had themes of natives not being able to travel/go abroad and I recently broke that myth. I went on a solo backpacking trip around Mexico for 18 days going to 5 different cities and did just fine and it was my first ever trip outside of the country to boot.

My mom wasn't that enthusiastic/believing of when I told her I planned on going abroad but when I bought my passport and plane ticket and successfully returned from my trip, I think she finally understood my passion and realized that I could handle myself in new environments alone.

I know I don't know your full situation, but the one advice I do want to give is to never lose sight of what YOU want to do in life even if others don't understand. You only have ONE life and as long as you aren't setting out to harm others in the pursuit of your goals, DO YOU.

SAME!!!

I understand, i support gay marriage too and my mom and dad think i'm a freak! -_-

Ohhh thanks!! Now i can't live abroad unfortunately cause i'm too young and i don't have a job(that's not the reason why he doesn't want to let me go).
That's amazing, traveling is so good!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words, i feel a lot better

Saturn and the Sun represents the Father.

In my case, Sun-Neptune conjunct represents my father- totally absent in my life. And both are in the 9th.

I think of the 9th as ones propensity to consider things that are outside the influence of what one was taught/ grew up around(3rd house).

If the 3rd house is the local neighborhood, local culture and the way in which one grew up.

The 9th represents the things that one learns(yearns to learn) when exposed to people that they didn't grow up with, cultures that were outside their exposure etc.

Saturn in 9th can manifest as someone who is afraid to consider things that they deem "foreign" from what they grew up around. And can thereby mean that the person may restrict ideals/ideas that take one out of the comfort zone of "knowing"(3rd).

It can also suggests that one faces impediments and challenges in having to branch out and incorporate things that are outside the realm of domestic learning(3rd).

Some people with this placement master higher education and thereby can attain degrees in business, administration, mathematics or physics. Anything that requires concentration and practical sensibility etc.

It can also manifest as a father that was very traditional/rigid in their belief systems. Probably even believed in the God of the old testament i.e male god,the one that "punishes "wrongdoers" and picks favorites etc.

Saturn in a house represents where we want structure, sameness and tend to stick to tradition. Only another Saturn/ Pluto/Neptune transits can alter this perspective/challenge it.
