Anyone have any they could share with me? I usually make a list of wishes and/ or a letter to myself. I looked over my last years wishes and a few of them came true (not the million dollars I asked for, but hey who's counting). Anyway, just wanted some astrological insight since my bday is tomorrow. I'm curious/ fascinated by the energy of the solar return.

I always listen to this birthday song (ever since it came out):
http://youtu.be/w3nN6JdXO4k?t=48s

I've suggested other songs by this band to play at my funeral but talking about my death seems to bother people so I don't make those suggestions anymore.

That's Bananaz!!! Happy birthday 🎂😁

I kind of think the house your Sun falls in influences how you celebrate. Western gives me a 12th house Sun. I always disappear for hours on end to some isolated place in nature. Last birthday I took a 28 mile hike. Not so much cuz I'm a fitness buff. At about mile 7 I took a wine and smoking break (another 12th housey thing). I think that influenced me to push on another 7 miles without worrying how id get home...

Thanks, Venus!

Hey I have a 12th house sun too. It's funny you mentioned the wine break lol because I went on what I thought was a short "hike" up a hill with my friend last year and packed a bottle with rum and pineapple juice. Well that short hike turned out to be mother nature's stair master AKA the Grouse Grind in Vancouver which is a freaking mountain! And all I had was booze smh lol Never again.

Thanks, Pixie. Those are some thought-provoking lyrics.

Happy Birthday Bananaz!

I don't really have any birthday rituals except talking to people who are nice enough to contact me, and going out to eat.

Happy Birthday!

I also don't really have any birthday rituals. I think it depends on the phase of life I'm in, and where I live.

It used to be fairly common for me to go down to Pike Place Market and enjoy myself in the book stores and crystal shops, and have a pirozhki.

When we moved, it was more common for me to want to just spend the day with my son and my husband, work in the garden, and maybe walk around at the train museum and waterfall where we lived.

I'm pretty simple in that sense, I think.
One year we went to the Gauguin exhibition at the SAM, which I will never forget, because Gauguin has always been my favorite painter.

Anyway, thank you for giving me an opportunity to recall those pleasant birthdays, because this year is a bit chaotic, and I don't think we'll be doing much, other than ordering takeout and going over to my mom's.

I'll probably go for a walk with my camera.

I guess there are at least common themes, now that I look at it.
Nature, art, shopping.

Thanks everyone! Im gonna try some meditation since the solar energy is supposed to be stronger today. One of these days I'm gonna try traveling to find out if it really does change the solar return.

Woah That birthday song was awesome! I really loved it. And the band was totally unknown to me, I'll give it a listening.
I usually have no rituals, except for making a wish before blowing the candles.
By the way, happy birthday! I leave you one of my latest birthday song findings: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yqztQ6BWPKc

I'm 11th sun house. I don't know what effects that has exactly, but when it's my birthday I'd rather forget that it exists. Sad . Or if I'm forced to acknowledge that it exists, then I'd rather celebrate it with a very small group of either family or very close friends. I haven't been into big birthday bashes since I was a kid, as they give me too much anxiety. As a kid I loved them, not now, however.
