Can someone please tell me what the negative sign in the astro.com aspect chart mean?
SEXTILE -1a
Mercury Sagittarius 19.10
Uranus Libra 20.16CONJUNCT 1a
Moon Scorpio 18.31
Uranus Scorpio 19.41 In the examples above, why does the sextile have a negative sign and the conjunct does not? Thank you in advance for your reply. IP: Logged |

It just has to do with the relative positions of the planets on the aspect grid chart. The aspect symbol shows how the planets on the left column relate to the planets in each row, in zodiacal order. So in my aspect grid chart: * I have a Capricorn sun sextile Pisces moon and it appears like this, with the sun in the left column:
2°24s
The moon comes after the sun, in zodiacal order. * I have Sag Venus sextile Aqua Mercury and it appears like this, with Venus in the left column:
-1°35s
Venus comes before Mercury in zodiacal order. Therefore there is the negative symbol. Hope that makes sense! IP: Logged |
