He says I hurt him and made him feel unappreciated and used. I left 8 years ago but we reconnected recently. We tried to make things work the second time around. Apparently, he hasn't forgotten the pain of my leaving 8 years ago, and it's compounded by my not showing him I care for him now (according to him). Whenever we have a misunderstanding he brings up the pain that he hasn't forgotten. My question is what do I do to show him that I am really sorry and I want to atone for my mistakes past and present. He is Capricorn sun, Aquarius Moon. I don't know where the non-forgetting the pain part is coming from. Is it from his Scorpio Venus/ASC? I want to really understand. I thought being a Scorpio Sun/Moon I would be more unwilling to forgive/forget/move-on. My ASC is Gem and Venus is Libra. As a Capricorn I cannot rebuild trust easily, however. Sounds like he still has feelings for you but you're not giving him enough reassurance that you are serious and will not repeat the same hurtful behavior. I guess there are no shortcuts, you two will have to work it out as you go along. If you post your synastry and composite this will get moved to Interpersonal Astrology and I will take a look there. Forgiving needs a certain degree of emotional involvement, which most of the time I don't waste on "spilled milk". I simply don't forget what happened, and store that information in order to estimate the likelihood of it happening again. I don't have to forgive people, people don't have to bend over backwards to get my "forgiveness". Learn what ya can and move on. About your situation, my first thought is that it is not helpful to bring up the past "whenever" conflicts arise. He agreed to try and make it work, scratching wounds and scratching at you kinda work against that goal. Now I don't know how you hurt him, or what you have done to show him that you are sorry. But I'm gonna say this, you don't have to tolerate if he takes his anger/hurt/etc... out on you. My suggestion is to have a heart to heart, and ask him if he can actually give you, himself and the relationship a chance. I hope that first, you two will eventually make peace with each other and be at peace with what happened in the past. And then able to rekindle the fire. Heh my suggestion for most situations is to talk things out and be honest. I hope it can help somewhat. IP: Logged
