I know sun/moon is a popular one. I am just figuring out how to use them w/my solar fire program, so I'm curious to know which ones you guys look atIP: Logged |

If I'm really interested in a particular event or person then I might look into midpoints and see what comes up. I don't focus on the midpoints primarily but the degrees being activated, whatever they are. So if the sun is on a midpoint, whatever midpoint that is will take on added significance. I think it's interesting that my husband and I both have: Moon = Saturn/Uranus MP But it wouldn't have occurred to me to investigate the Saturn/Uranus midpoint just for its own sake. First I saw the pattern and it stoked my curiosity. http://john-sandbach.blogspot.com/2010/12/planets-activating-saturnuranus.html IP: Logged |

I believe that it can be misleading to just cherrypick certain midpoints (for example pick the nice Sun/Venus-mp but ignore the fact that Saturn/Uranus is at the same point - they need to be analysed both, as they are making a whole picture). Anyway of course I have my preferred ones, too. But I think I`d pay most attention to the midpoints that are on personal planets, angle rulers, relationship housesrulers, nodal axis and angles.

Hmm, I might as well form a list. --Assuming my chart is rectified right-- Personal planets MOON = Saturn/Uranus, 0.24° MOON = Sun/NN, 0.18° MERCURY = Saturn/ASC, 0.47° MARS = AC/MC, 0.57° MARS = Mercury/MC, 0.28° SUN, VENUS listed below. Angle Rulers * Sun rules ASC: SUN = Jupiter/Pluto, 1.56° (too wide?) * Venus rules IC: VENUS = Saturn/Pluto, 0.26° VENUS = Sun/MC, 0.38° VENUS = Jupiter/Saturn, 1.44° * Uranus rules DSC: URANUS = Mercury/ASC, 0.10° * Mars rules MC: Listed above Relationship House Rulers * Jupiter rules 5H: - None * Uranus or Neptune rules 8H: NEPTUNE = Sun/Uranus, 1.33° Nodal Axis NODE = Mars/MC, 1.01° NODE = Neptune/MC, 0.35° NODE = Venus/Uranus, 1.35° Angles ASC/DSC = NN/MC, 0.14° = Venus/Pluto, 1.19° IC/MC = Pluto/Uranus, 1.58° = Sun/Mercury, 0.42° = Jupiter/Uranus, 0.12° = Sun/ASC, 0.42° = Moon/Venus, 1.17° ----- Extras: * SATURN = Moon/Neptune, 0.08° * SATURN = Pluto/NN, 0.22° * SATURN = Moon/Mars, 1.30° * PLUTO = Mars/ASC, 0.13° * PLUTO = Moon/Uranus, 0.41° * SUN/MOON = Mars/Jupiter = Venus/MC, all under 1° * Sun/Mars MP is on the Aries Point, 0.54° Aries. I never knew I had most of those midpoints. I really like this one:MC = Jupiter/Uranus quote: Midheaven: A person who encourages all people to be free and to value their individuality. One who helps others to accept their own uniqueness.

Recently started reading up on midpoints. Some real good data points cropped up from synastry. But not yet read up enough to have a thorough set of ones to use.. IP: Logged |

Mercury rules my 7th and it parallels my pluto, MC and Juno. My husband's sun conjuncts my mercury/pluto midpoint. IP: Logged |

I've found sun-moon midpoint to be most relevant as far as midpoints. However, even it seems overwhelmingly overshadowed by any and every planet and angle. So therefore I pay little attention to them. I'll glance to check but nothing has stood out so far. IP: Logged |

To be honest, I don't use midpoints much. I think they provide too much information that one does not know how to condense. I understand they are important though, but sometimes the more information, the blurrier it gets.Still I gave a look at my Sun-Moon midpoint again, it's in Virgo. Many of my midpoints are in Scorpio though (I counted 15 midpoints in this sign! followed by Sagittarius, Virgo, Libra and Capricorn), and my 'Scorpio' traits mainly manifest in the 7th and to a less extent 6th house related activities (I have Scorpio in my 7th house cusp, with Pluto in the 6th conjunct descendant). Interestingly he has mercury conjunt eros in scorpio and pluto rules his DC. IP: Logged |

Do declinations also work to activate midpoints?Edit: True Node/ASC => opposed by someone's else Vertex exact True Node/MC = someone's else ASC <1º How relevant would this be since it does not involve a planet? Does activation only occur by transit then, or it doesn't need a planet to activate the midpoint in these cases? IP: Logged |
