Could Saturn conjunct Asc (therefor opposing Dsc, 7th house) means a late marriage? & what other aspects/placements could indicate this? IP: Logged |

I have never heard that this aspect means that but then again I am "new" to astrology. I know that Saturn in the 7th house means that is possible that a person will marry later in life among other things. However I strongly believe that this placement is not the only way that this could present itself. I know many people with this placement who married young and they are very happy. The only thing I noticed is that their marriage is very traditional. I think that you should look at what Saturn rules in your chart and this will give you a better indication of what it means. Yes,as Saturn also rules Aquarius (traditionally),this is one of the indicators.Sun in Aquarius/Moon Aquarius Venus/Mars Aquarius 5th house Aquarius Asc/Dsc Saturn/Venus/Mars Saturn/Sun/Moon Saturn Asc/Dsc With Aquarius, the marriage is usually devastatingly early(married at 16 or something). Or there could be a wide age difference between the two people concerned( 42 year old marries 68 year old etc). It could also suggests an unusually late marriage i.e 1st marriage at 60 years of age etc. With Aquarius, there is the tendency to "break" the norm.Aquarius also rules being late for appointments,same-sex romance/ marriage,"love at first sight",marriage ,divorce, sudden accidents /delays and cancellations of agreements. I would say Saturn shows its Aquarius ruler-ship when in retrograde. Cap doesn't necessarily mean late marriage. Remember that Cap wants to get on with the business of life as early as possible. Assume responsibility and all contractual things whilst young. Cap however can be very calculating, "business-like" and erring towards traditional/conventional customs in the area of life it governs. Sun in Cap/Moon Venus/Mars in Cap Cap in 5th house Cap in Asc/Dsc The dual ruler-ship of Saturn usually has interesting results. But some also assign Uranus governance over Aqua. Which sign is Saturn in your chart?

Yes, that Moon in Aquarius and Saturn in Libra- which doubles up as Saturn/Venus aspect- could cause that. I have a Saturn-Venus conjunct in Scorpio and besides my 2 year relationship with the Libra, have never been in another relationship that lasted that long. Aquarius tends to desire freedom. And that Saturn Libra can give a tendency for relationships to erratically end. I think he may marry later- more for companionship rather than romance. As there are people like this in life.
