Okay, so I've heard people say that this was a difficult aspect. I've got an Aquarius Sun conjunct Aquarius Uranus (double whammy lol) and I'm wondering why people think this is.

What are your thoughts on this aspect?

I have some articles on it. Uranus is really strong like horseradish

It is brilliant. Ir is rebellious. It is out of the box but too close to the Sun can be too much brilliant/ electrical and erratic energy.

This can make for unbalance in very close orbs.

The person seems to be brilliant, though, but the price may be high.

Interesting. My sun is conjunct Uranus by an orb of 5 degrees, yet my sun is directly conjunct my IC. I just think it's interesting because Uranus is my dominant planet, and while it has a good effect on Mercury, it has been looked down upon when conjunct the sun. Uranus also sextiles Pluto in my chart.

I 100% agree with Ami! My Uranus is in a stellium with my Sun and Neputne and I the have Sun conjunct Uranus exact! It can get me into trouble sometimes. It does give you a high electrical charge because of that I tend to have a charged nervous system and can be stressed out quit easily. With so much electricity going through me it can effect my sleep making it hard to fall asleep. I know for some people with this aspect as a child they can have trouble with physical coordination which rang true for me.

My ex has Sun conjunct Uranus in the 3rd, I have never met anyone who changes cars so freaking frequently. If he was rich I think he would get a new car every month and have a huge car collection. He enjoyed also fixing cars and doing detailing work etc as a hobby...

My husband has it conjunct Mars right on his DC. He married a female who has Uranus conjunct exact her chart Ruler Jupiter conjuncting her AC who is into astrology.

He loves technology and techno, creating and building things and his achilles hills is that he wants to create and build everything and starts/pursues many different projects at once. He is full of great ideas though and is a visionary, very creative; high IQ and excellent fluid intelligence but poor emotional intelligence and coping skills which I blame on the sesquisquares in his chart to his moon in cancer.
