In my research, the IC is the angle people are most reluctant to talk about. I don’t know why. Maybe, people are not in touch with their own ICS. Maybe, the IC is hidden to them. The charts are my teachers. My clients are my teachers. My friends on Linda-Goodman.com are my teachers. My friends in my other Astrology groups are my teachers. I must see a trend repeat enough to feel I can count on it. Then, I make a working theory. This theory may be changed, if enough evidence proves to the contrary.

However, I have the least information on the IC, so I will speculate about the nature of Uranus conjunct the IC. I explained the nature of Uranus in the previous article, so will not do that here. I will give my thoughts on how I think Uranus would play out when conjunct the IC.

The IC is one’s childhood home. It is, also, one’s spot of vulnerability, in the manner of one’s tender inner child.Hence, it is a very important point and a very personal point. I liken it to one’s underwear. That may be a crude comparison but it seems to fit. Underwear is worn inside. It is hidden. One would feel embarrassed if someone saw one’s underwear hanging out( how this would happen, I don’t know) Underwear is, usually, chosen from personal preferences, known solely( or mostly) by one. In synastry, if someone’s planets touch one’s IC, one may feel a very intimate bond, as one had with childhood best friends.

If Uranus was conjunct the IC, I would suspect that the early home was unstable in some way. A parent may have been a drug addict, had a mental illness or was absent in a way that made the child feel unsafe. On the other hand, the home may have,simply, been unconventional. I think of a family that lived near me, when I was a child. The father was the manager for a major league baseball team but the five children ran the streets like wild urchins. The upshot would be that there would be some manner in which the childhood was not meeting the “current norms” of society i.e what most people do.

I have not had reports from people who have Uranus conjunct the IC and would love to hear from you if you have it or just want to offer an opinion. It is all about us learning together. I am not a guru, nor do I play one on TV.

I only moved twice in my life. Once was when I was a little baby and couldn't remember much, and another was when I was eight. Something about my home is always changing, whether it's being remodeled, or we're getting a fence up, or we're getting more decorations, etc. My dad survived a brain tumor in the year of 2001, and my mom's been fighting breast cancer for a couple years.

Plans are almost never set since everything happens at random. Things will just pop up out of the blue, such as being given the opportunity to meet family in another state. If we set a time to head somewhere, usually we never leave on that set time lol.

That's my experience. It's difficult for me to explain exact events related to the IC so I'm trying to make sure it all fits within the worlds of Uranus and the IC lol.

I have Uranus conjunct IC as well, and this is pretty similar to my experiences.

We did move quite a bit when I was a kid, from different states, and different homes. My mom and step-dad were constantly selling houses and buying different houses, building decks, buying new businesses, etc.

My mom and step-dad were not particularly pleasant people, and were definitely not supportive of me in many ways. I did spend most of my high school years living with my aunt, and with my grandma, until I graduated.

As an adult, I've moved around quite a bit, and I tend to switch jobs often. My husband has Uranus conjunct MC, so we're on the same page a lot with all of that.

He gets extremely restless with routine, especially regarding employment. He has changed careers numerous times in his life, always something challenging.

He has moved around quite a bit as well.

I moved out when I was 16 and left country at 19. Returned 18 years later to the same sh*t.

Mom is a Scorpio Sun, Moon, Mercury. Aries ASC. I have Pluto sq Sun, Moon and Mercury. Mars conj ASC.
Scary resemblance..

This thread has taught me so much!

I think I have Aqua intercepted in the 4th.

I hardly look at my own chart lol

My mother was kooky

She was one of the types who would wear a formal gown to the beach and a a bathing suit to a formal party

She has an Aqua Sun combust mercury and it conjuncts my Chiron in the 4th House

She was scary as heck. I was, always, the one who was more "with it"

She was such a clueless person and I was social and I understood human nature.

After all I went through with her, I kind of lost my core and became like her

One of the best uses for Astrology and I use it, personally, and with my clients is for people to realize that what they suffer is NOT THEIR FAULT!

I am Born Again Christian/Messianic Jew and to me, the Bible tells us there is an ORDER in the Universe.

The charts show the order of each person.

They show that each person was known by God and created by God and it was all meant to be

Why bad things occur like the pain you went through, I don't know WHY, but I know it was not your fault and you could not have controlled it.

To me, every chart I do brings me closer to God and that is one reason I love Astrology so much!

We moved a lot. There was violence at home. I witnessed it a lot. I moved a lot myself once i moved out. I'm good with moving - no problems. I like moving. I have trouble staying in one place for too long.

I would say if you have this, don't count on living at one address long term. Get used to moving. Plan for it. Buy investment properties so you build assets of home ownership but plan on moving around. I'm finishing up just over 10 years at one address. F'n horrific, never again. I own the next place but it's smaller and if it gets rough, I'll rent i out and move on elsewhere and buy another place. Owning and moving etc. See?

The underwear analogy is excellent. I have it in Pisces and I like to appear tough and aloof publicly but I am all water deep inside.

Yes, this.
I'm sick of moving at this point, but as my husband has the Uranus/MC conjunction, I have my doubts that we'll stop moving around. But we have children, so it would be best if we could figure something else out.

But yeah, I get restless as well, or circumstances require me to move within the same city, etc.
