I've been chasing success for so long and I believed that I could do anything, that my limitations didn't define what I could become. Yet lately I just feel deflated. I used to have so much motivation and ambition and I feel it slipping. I just feel tired. I'm tired of doing so much for others and getting little to nothing in return. I don't help people so they can help me, but when they purposefully hurt me after I help or they keep putting themselves in the same situations where I helped them get through over and over again, I feel jaded.

So I have some pretty crummy transits that I am guessing might be affecting this, I have listed them below. Lindaland, do you think any of these transits could be the culprit or do you think it's multiple? If yes, which ones and why? Thank you, your responses will help give me clarity to my unusual numbness.

Natal Sun square tr. Uranus (2), Natal Sun conjunct tr. Pluto (exact), Natal Saturn conjunct tr. Mercury (3), Natal Saturn opposite tr. Jupiter, Natal Saturn square tr. Saturn (3), Natal Saturn conjunct tr. Chiron (1), Natal Pluto square tr. Venus (exact), Natal Chiron trine tr. Moon (exact), Natal Chiron sextile tr. Saturn (2), Natal Chiron square tr. Pluto (3).

I would attribute this to Saturn. Just recently Saturn was conjunct my natal Pluto and opposite my Moon, and I went into a depression. I lost all motivation and my grades in school dropped because I simply "didn't care anymore". Saturn will make you question yourself on a personal level and make you wonder if it's really worth it.

I'm not sure, but I've been there for a while. I keep trying in certain ways, despite that, but one of these days, I won't be getting out of bed at all.

And people can't deal with that, so they distance themselves, which, frankly, makes it worse.

When does it happen? How does one regard the love between two friends as a garment worth shedding? How do you tell someone that you love them but that love has been deprioritized? How do you handle learning that you’re a junk bond? A short-term investment folded for the long family game? How do you gracefully accept that no one will follow you gallantly into the dark when you were happy to serve as everyone’s usher?

I thought I was wise. I spent a decade building a tribe to find that tribe never existed. What happens then? What happens when you’re 40 and alone and all of your friends are toasting their own lives, shouldering their own sorrows? What becomes of you then? How do you move on?
What happens when you wake one morning and find the market shifting below your feet? How do you rebuild after the market you spent your life investing in collapses?

Only that also happened to me with family.

It's so cute when people expect you to just be able to move on, or you aren't worth knowing.

Vincent Van Gogh killed himself just after his progressed Sun was conjunct his natal Saturn, believing he was a failure (he continues to bring joy and meaning to the world to this day and i believe his paintings fetch the very highest bids on earth).. He had taken up visual art/painting 10 years earlier when progressed Sun was conjunct natal Uranus and this marked a period of joy and liberation...

My progressed Sun is about to be conjunct transiting Saturn. I'll let you know if I'm giving up. But i have heard positive things about rewards for a job well done about Saturn-Sun transits/by progression... it all depends on so many other factors I guess.

Anyway this is inconclusive... just pointing out progressions tell a story.

I know Saturn-Pluto was described to me by an astrologer friend as "building castles on sand"--it makes sense with an exact Pluto-Saturn transit that you might feel like all the hard work you've been putting in over your life isn't turning up the kinds of rewards you were hoping for. Pluto is resources and the fact that you feel kind of spent could be related to this transit for sure. Pluto by transit marks enormous change and upheaval and often endings--also beginnings. This would be a powrrful time to re orient yourself to another calling and begin to structure your life based on deeper motivations. It wont happen over night though... Pluto and Saturn take their sweet time.

But gradually you're likely to be undergoing a transformation to reflect your deeper Saturn mission on earth; and it's just part of the process to become disenchanted with/tired of that which hasn't been working for you

Just a side-note, but it's debatable if Van Gogh killed himself.

My mom is going through Sun-Pluto conjunction and has been for quite some time now. She's been feeling pretty much the same way you have. She basically realized that even though she has done a lot (and continues to do a lot) for family members, they don't care about her and they won't reciprocate. She's very dependable, while they can't be trusted. She gives and gives and gives, and they continue to take advantage of her and manipulate her emotions for their own selfish gain. People use her, exploit her good heart and giving nature and then abruptly leave. Because it's family, it's especially painful.

I don't know what the answer to this problem is. She cut off contact with those people, and she does seem to feel better without those toxic people in her life. I've also been encouraging her to be a bit selfish with her energy and time, because she needs to recharge and focus on herself.

I hope you feel better soon. Hang in there.

No quoting please.

Thanks StubbornVirgo. I feel better, somehow, knowing other mothers are having struggles similar to mine.

edit

@Mergoatsun

Tr Pluto in Capricorn is a hard taskmaster, nothing is ever good enough...maybe the point is that we have to learn a different set of standards? Deeper standards, less wordly.

We'll make it out okay...

you should also check your lunar chart

i was agonizing over my career path last week very hard to the point of extenstial crisis... couldnt find it in the transits or progressed chart

lo and behold
my lunar return ASC is in Aquarius conjunct my Saturn which is also conjunct my MC natally...

BINGO!

i feel very detached and stifled from one of my two careers and am now making the right choice objectively. figuring out all of the practical particulars nonetheless.

Mergoatsun, if it's a transit - it's just a phase. You just have to stick it out till it's over. That's a lot of Saturn going on - maybe use this time to *take stock* of things rather than give up what you've worked for?

@StubbornVirgo, Wow. I can relate to that so much. I'm going through a Sun-Pluto (progression + transit Mars on it recently) and that's exactly what I did. Still ongoing.
