My situation: My Cancer-Moon brother was killed one month ago, a few days before the solar eclipse. His daughter (my niece) has always lived with him and my parents. The mother hasn't visited her child in almost a year. Because of the way my brother died, there's a lot of money at stake and now the mother suddenly wants back into her daughters life as all that money will go to the child. Her lawyers filed for a hearing which happened the day before the lunar eclipse and the judge didn't even read our petition, granting custody to the mother. We will now be going to trial for custody as the mother is in and out of jail and behavioral health facilities and the only home my niece has ever known has been with us. If anyone here knows what to look for in these situations, I'd be most appreciative.

(My niece is a Pisces as well)

My 2016 SR (I'm pregnant with my first child as well so I'm sure some of the 5th house activity has to do with that)

So the mother is in and out of jail. She did not have custody before or care enough to visit her child. Yet, now she is deemed worthy of full custody? It does look like any judge worth anything will grant your family custody.

I hope someone more skilled than I am can read the charts.

Hopefully moon conjunct Jupiter in your SR chart means, an increase in mothering, not only with your unborn child but the care of your niece who remains reachable.

5H Scorpio Mars and Saturn show these obstacles. Saturn square moon-Jupiter may just indicate hardship...Saturn trine Uranus in the 10th looks favorable, like there is a successful (10H) and surprising result.

Actually that is a Pythagorean triangle, moon-Saturn-Uranus. Then it becomes a grand trine in the lunar return for April. I really like how it all comes together, it looks positive to me because it makes geometric sense. But I can't venture any kind of guess, I'm too much a novice.

The SR chart also has that nice moon-Pluto trine. Lunar Return has the grand trine of Pluto, Mercury, Jupiter. That looks good.

Hoping a real astrologer comes by.

Faith, you are so awesome I'm really grateful for your insight because I didn't put it together that way while I was looking at the charts.

The problem with the hearing was the judge didn't hear about the mother being in and out of jail/ behavioral health facilities because he only looked at her petition. (She literally just got out in January). But he said by law she is the natural mother, and the child has to go to her. We have records to prove where the child has been living, witnesses, DCF records to prove her incapability as a parent (she always tested negative on drug tests), etc.

The problem is the court hasn't seen any of this information...we're trying for a motion for a rehearing so they can hear our side, but it might go straight to trial...

Most people with Pluto in 7th often come to blows with powerful people/figures. Its like they are forced to "submit".

In this case(Libra) it often suggests judges, lawyers and people that are often all about procedures and processes. Not emotions.

Now if I recall correctly, the children of our siblings are represented by the 7th house(since the 7th is the 5th house from the perspective of the 3rd)

And with the ruler of the 7th house(Venus) in 12th, isn't it just amazing that that just happens to be your nieces solar position i.e Sun in Pisces?

Was your brother a spiritual person? Perhaps seen as a little eccentric due to his views?

Also,I don't mean to be indelicate(and you don't have to answer if you think I am). But was your brother killed in a bike accident?

Not really spiritual. He was a typical Taurus, very zen, laid back, loving, liked to eat, funny, etc. He did indulge me whenever I talked about astrology but I'm not sure if he believed any of it.

He was killed by a woman running from the police. She blew through a red light and hit him at over 100 mph.

This custody battle has gotten much uglier than I expected.

Anyway our trial was supposed to begin this week, but our attorneys asked for an extension based on the paternity still not completely established and we are still waiting on dcf records that will prove where my neice has been living. Thankfully it was granted.

My question is this: Now that we have an extra 90 days, this puts things moving right around the time of the next eclipses.

Eclipses change situations right?

I have a lunar return coming up in September with a full 7th house. Does it mean anything?
