Great article! Thanks teasel.New moon this morning 7:23 EST. Feeding my good wolf by thinking of Aries as fireworks (happy) not fireworks (the kind that burn your hand off.) Best wishes for new beginnings, everyone.

The author had a workbook for the New Moon, to download as well, but I haven't looked at it yet. It was for anyone who subscribes to the newsletter. I have a list of things I need to get through today, and feel clearer than I was, up until this week. My good wolf is present, as well. I took care of something earlier this week - a person who was deliberately trying to wind me up - and no evil wolf was needed. It hardly ever is, though. IP: Logged |

@teasel & diamondbaby Here's some more on the New Moon: quote: A New Moon occurs in the sign of Aries this morning at 7:24 AM EDT, and is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Ram. It's time to take action - try something new and innovative, and go at it with gusto and confidence; be assertive without being abrasive; take charge of our lives; start a brand new project; and discover our own personal courage. This is a strong cycle under which to re-evaluate our relationship to ourselves. With this potent Aries energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. It's time to make some solid yet realistic plans. While we can be quite enthusiastic now, Aries' ruler, Mars, will turn retrograde in just ten days, and we should avoid taking on too much now, as we may not be following through later.

Oops, I missed your comments earlier. You're welcome. diamondbaby and Faith: I was feeling more emotional this morning, but it's eased off now. I'm showered and all snuggled in, because I have to be up at 5am. We're supposed to be meeting a dog dad liked, and another woman met him and was asking about him, so it sounds like it will be another race. One was adopted on Monday, the people were right in front of dad, in line. The other one I loved, went back to her owner, so I hope he lives with someone who actually loves her. The third also went back to his owner, and the growly one that I was feeling a kinship with today, was also finally adopted. I'm feeling iffy about the whole adopting thing now, but this dog looks sweet. IP: Logged |

I love that wolf anology, I use it a lot personally as I heard it a while back ago but this article expanded on my perception of the analogy, excellent read. I love this part: But although the story of the wolves is a good metaphor, I prefer to think that the “evil” wolf—a symbol of Aries/Mars energy that has become corrupt and twisted—can be rehabilitated. Perhaps the wolf is behaving badly simply because it’s wounded or sick. I like to think that if we could heal that wolf and assure him that he still has a place in the pack, then he can become what he was meant to be: an effective, energetic, and beautiful alpha wolf, the leader and protector of his pack. The wolves in the old Cherokee’s story evoke the archetype of Aries at its worst (the “bad” wolf) and its opposite sign, Libra, at its best (the “good” wolf). The Libran wolf in the story represents the need for harmony and teamwork within the pack; the Aries wolf represents the competition for scarce resources. Each needs the other for survival, but as with all opposing signs, it’s important to get the balance right. For too long, the wolf of violence, greed, and arrogance has been overfed and has become domineering. The longer resources seem scarce, the more the dominant wolf, fearing for his survival, begins to snarl and bite. IP: Logged |

Getting up so early today was worth it. As long as nothing happens to mess it up, and everything goes well at home, we adopted a young small Retriever, this morning. We can't bring him home yet, but next week sometime. He is GORGEOUS!! So full of personality, and incredibly sweet, and gentle. IP: Logged |
