In the moment I know 3 different gemini moon people, but what strikes me is that all 3 of them isn't good at smalltalking with everyone they meet lol... I would have thought that a gemini moon would be extremely chatty with everyone and be a natural talent in finding something to talk about... I also thought they would be kinda curious and ask many random questions... but I just find it really hard to have a conversation with gemini moon, much harder than with gemini suns. With gemini sun people I can always smalltalk about absolutely nothing but gemini moon people get me all nervous because they are so quiet! I dont know if it is just me, or maybe my synastry with gemini moons, cause I am not the greatest smalltalker myself... I am a virgo sun with libra mercury so I do enjoy talking, also about "uninteresting" things, but maybe a gemini moon would be more picky and only talk about what truly interests them? What are your experiences with this?

I'm not chatty around those whom I don't know well or don't feel comfortable around. I normally wait for them to initiate the conversation but that could be my Virgo rising. If I know the person well or feel comfortable then I'll have no problems chatting away. There is another scenario where I may talk a lot if I’m one on one with someone and feel uncomfortable around them, and I talk about anything I can think of to avoid awkward silences, but it has to be a one on one situation where there's no where for me to escape to, otherwise I will avoid talking to them and blend in with others. I can only think of one Gemini moon. Her Scorpio and Leo placements affected it a lot, however, and I think I was almost the only one she talked to a lot.IP: Logged |

I'm only chatty if I know a person very well and I feel comfortable around them. If I've just met a person I'm very standoffish. I wait for them to initiate the conversation. Maybe there's something in your synastry that makes them feel uneasy? Your Sun does square their Moon, although I would think that your air Mercury would help. IP: Logged |

I,m Gemini moon, and am not chatty, I thought it's because of all my Scorpio placements.IP: Logged |

I'm a Gemini Moon, and only chatty with people that I know well. I'm pretty quiet, otherwise. Very shy. People approach me, though, ask me for help. One woman gave me a coupon, out of nowhere, a couple of weeks ago. I've never seen her before or since. But something about me is approachable. The shyness was bullied into me - when I was little, I loved and talked to everyone. I do sit back and observe, though. Just take things in. Or get lost in thought. IP: Logged |

All 3 of them happen to be a late degree gemini moons, and they all square my sun, so I don't know maybe that explains why I have a hard time making conversations with them? But still, it's not like I see them being super chatty with everyone else.... but do you think it is also because I don't know them well? but it gets hard to break the ice, when I almost cannot have any conversation at all with them :O IP: Logged |

That's an interesting observation. I thought I was just weird for a Gemini Moon.I'm going to give you my best guess, but I cannot speak for all Gemini Moons as each chart is unique and my reasons may not be the same as another Gemini Moon's reasons. It looks like the Moon transforms the Gemini influence into something more internal. You would not believe how active my mind is even though I don't talk to people much. If I am busy thinking about stuff, I won't choose to talk to someone else until I feel like giving them my attention. All in all, I'm not very social, but I can talk a lot when I'm comfortable talking to you. IP: Logged |

One of my closest friends of all time is a Virgo whose sun squares my late Gemini moon (granted it's a wide orb of 5-6). In fact she is one of the very few people in my life whom I felt comfortable around pretty much straight away (almost as if I knew her from before) whereas with most people it feels like a burden for me to get to know them better. She and I are different but also quite similar. So I'm not sure if it's the Sun square moon thing. It could be a factor but maybe not the sole factor. IP: Logged |

This. +1 Oh I'm chatty alright, chatty in my head! Chronic thinker here. I think so much, I over think stuff, and when I'm left alone and I'm just thinking (about any and everything), sometime lil bad memories will come up and I end up being depressed. Anyway, to calm the inward chatting, I just listen to music, or watch a tv show or something. The end. IP: Logged |

I've known a couple Gemini moons, I believe. The one I specifically have come to mind right now, she was always pretty quiet. I think because the Moon is a more introverted energy, it tends to become more of an internal thing. The type that will be thinking of 20 different things at a time but will only say about 3 words in a 20 minute period. There's a chance my Moon is in the 3rd house. I tend to be quiet. Idk.. My Dad is a Sagittarius Sun and Rising. I have my Moon in Sagittarius.. While I think me and him are different, sometimes it seems like I hold a similar energy, but it is instead introverted. In a way, we might think a similar thing, but he will be the one to say it or act on it. IP: Logged |

Yes, this happens to me, too. That's why I need to get out of the house, or be with others. If I'm out, and stuck walking around a grocery store or something, rather than actually having my mind or attention occupied, it will get worse, and I'll know that I'll have to give up on having a good night. Luckily, most of the time, it helps me to be out. I haven't been able to focus on books for a few months now - longer. I'm also having trouble focusing on TV shows, when I'll normally settle in and get my mind off things with a TV show, as long as I'm not *too* stressed. It's been rough lately. I used to be more laid-back at home. I wish that were still the case - I could have blitzed through my netflix queue, and the books out of the library, by now. Or part of the queue. And I hate that I lose so much time to anxiety. I love to be at the library, though - and bookstores. IP: Logged |

I'm a Moon in Gemini and I'm more on the quiet side. I'm only chatty w/ people that I've known for years. This placement is pretty internalized. Restless mind...Then again, we can be changeable too so, depending on our mood or situation we'll talk more or less. Also, it really depends on the other person too. I noticed that almost always I can become more talkative w/ air placements. Other times, I'll start talking to a person and after a few words in, I can already tell the conversation isn't going anywhere. It's almost like there's a blockage and I feel that the conversation isn't "flowing". So I'll just end it b/c nothing annoys me more than an awkwardness in conversation. Gemini Moons can be really hypersensitive to conversations and people this way. IP: Logged |

This. +2. I easily pickup the vibe from the person I'm talking to, if they're interested in talking to me or not. If not, I just end the convo, then I'm quiet afterwards. And I doubt the person will ever get me to "open up" like I did before. Not gon lie, when that happens, I feel some typa way. Maybe that's my Neptune trine ASC kicking in? IP: Logged |

One thing I will do, if something is bothering me, or I'm close to someone, I will try to fix things with communication. Usually with letters, because my thoughts will flow more easily as I write - and I can go back and edit (rather than trying to choke something out through tears, if something was really upsetting).I've felt like I'm speaking Greek, over the last few years, though. No matter how clear and even kind, I think I'm being, it doesn't always come through. I thought the adult thing was to communicate and work through something, but too many people want to sweep things under the rug, where nothing is really *fixed*. Or someone feeling defensive (and I've been guilty of it, too), will take something personally no matter what, and fly into attack mode. Even when you try to point out what was said/written, it doesn't matter. Or what is being communicated is just ignored, for the same rug-sweeping reason. Sorry to go on. This has been happening more since my progressed Sun moved into Gemini, and my 8th house, but it happened once before that. IP: Logged |

My husband is a Gemini Moon and he can talk for hours! He also has Mercury in Gemini. I think Mercury should be looked at, not just their moon sign, since one is more so emotions and the other how they communicate. My sister is a Gemini Moon, Scorpio Mercury. She is more on the quiet side, unless it's something she wants to talk about. She seems to be in her head most times. One thing I can say is that in my observation, Gemini Moon signs write. Journal, music, blog etc. IP: Logged |

It would depend on where in the natal chart the Gemini moon is. But I have a friend who's an 11th Gemini moon, and he never shuts up! Lololol IP: Logged |

Interesting! I know 3 Gemini Moons, all of them are females (Libra Sun/Gemini Moon/Aquarius Ascendant, Gemini Sun/Gemini Moon/Sagittarius Ascendant, Taurus Sun/Gemini Moon/Leo Ascendant) and they are all quiet. IP: Logged |

As a Gemini Moon, I really don't like small-talk and prefer something deeper. This may be due to my Moon being in the 8th and Opposite Pluto exact. I'm also quiet around most people except those that I know, which I'll unleash my devastating vocal power on IP: Logged |

Haha I feel u. Once in a blue moon I'll end up friending someone that's hard to talk to. Those are called clubbing friends where I only go out w/ them to clubs or big events where the music is too loud so I don't have to talk to them lolz IP: Logged |

I find it easy to talk to people at the dog pound. I've spent more time there recently, and visitors and volunteers alike are usually very friendly.IP: Logged |
