The sign is what the planet is, what it does. Or what role (sign) the actor (planet) is playing. The house is where "it" is being done, like the setting of a play. For instance, a Mars in Taurus is still going to be earthy, deliberate, stubborn, sensual, etc. no matter what house it is in. But an 8th house Mars in Taurus would apply those traits in the traditional Scorpio realms: death, rebirth, sex, power, taboo subjects, other peoples money, and so on. An eight house Mars might be more inclined to take action when one of those subjects is involved. I'm an eight house Sun (and Scorpio Rising). I'm not *really* like a Scorpio, but I relate pretty well to Scorpios, and they seem comfortable generally with me... well, the eagles and doves, not so much the scorpions. As if they see me as a Gemini (role) but showing interest (setting) in things that fit their role. IP: Logged |
