Lol this is like clickbait for me.I always advocate the house more than anything. The houses are where everything begins and ends in ones chart as well as ones life. We all experience those energies differently, but they are the central and core of what and why we are experiencing what we are experiencing So to answer your question, its the HOUSE that plays the more important role imo. Signs are important, but they are the MASKS of astrology. In other words, the house represents the awareness and energy of whats going on as well as whats being expressed in ones life, while the sign is the "face" of that particular energy. Those who are experiencing the 12th house in my experience are experiencing "Pisces" more than actual Pisces. Those who are 5th house in my experience are experiencing "Leo" more than the actual Leo. The order of the signs can change, but the order of the houses never change. We all have a beginning (1st house) and an ending (12th house OR 4th house) IP: Logged |

LOL, it was a clickbait for me, too and you said it better than I would have!!!
Yes, totally the house, it was like a revelation to me when I discovered it, because till then I couldn't identify so much with my NN by sign!
I have NN in cancer in the 6th, but the description for NN in Virgo actually fits SO much better!
Try this site, starr33, it;s really good, there is some validity to the sign of the NN as well, but try to read firstly your NN by house like the sign this house represents --- > 1st house NN//Aries NN, altough your NN might be in Scorpio for instance

Scorpio NN 3H. I AM a detective (love gathering facts and info) and I WILL go deep with communication and research, so both? I also find that my journey is pretty much aligned with life itself. I learn what I am supposed to learn each day especially seeing as my personal year number is always the same as the universal year number. My pitfall is that I am severly attached to my SN (conj Jupiter) 9H and I scream for freedom and travel! If you let me run, I'll run as fast and far away I can. This is supposedly NOT what a Scorpio NN is about...It's odd however that I don't feel the Taurus in my SN but the Scorpio in my NN. IP: Logged |

I agree that the house plays a more important role, but it should also be taken into consideration the sign placement of the North Node in order to get a better picture of what you may be aiming for in your life. I have a 10th house Leo N.N. Yes, the idea of Capricorn has been more influential in my life than Leo, but perhaps I must develop self-confidence and love for myself in order to achieve the goals the house displays. IP: Logged |

I would say both house and sign. But like the others said, the houses will kinda 'manifest' itself. For example, the 5th house is naturally ruled by Leo, so people who have NN here are not literally Leos, but more figuratively. The Leo qualities will manifest, and your life path will be about confirming yourself as a creative individual and adding your own flair or style to everything you touch. I have NN in 2H in Capricorn. I do relate to trying to define myself in the physical world and acquiring material wealth all through hard work, but I do feel the Capricorn influence of wanting a certain 'status' in life and achieving higher than perhaps a Taurus would. B/c Taurus wants to be comfortable but Capricorn keeps climbing higher, so I guess I feel both influences. Though since they're both earth, the qualities are a little similar. IP: Logged |

Both equally, I guess.4H Scorpio NN I have an 8H moon trine the NN so emotionally I feel more Plutonian than Cancerian. I LOVE kids, love being a mom, couldn't have imagined life any other way. Still, tr Pluto on my NN coincided with the death of my own mother, which turned my childhood a little stark. So I can't see the Cancer more than the Scorpio. Being a mother is also a Plutonian experience for me since my children's grandparents are all deceased. No guidance, no grandparent rituals or anything. Thank you all so much for your experiences. It almost sounds like the house rules.lol. I appreciate the link you gave, mar1982delta. I'll have to check it out this weekend. The reason I asked is because my NN. is in Capricorn in the 4th (conjunct the 5th cusp and in 5th in Whole sign) but the ruler of the NN. is in the 10th in Cancer! So, I'm just tired of being confused about this. And South Node is Conjunct Saturn. I mean, really??? Damn, I have to go to work. More later. IP: Logged |

I feel both and the power of Capricorn/Saturn gets stronger the older I get. And the urge to break away from working for others increases all the time. I feel like a caged animal sometimes. I think I excelled at both a career and family at separate times, and now the time has come to balance these energies, perhaps working from home. I recall asking and weighing whether I wanted a public or private life at the age of five. Who thinks that way as a child? IP: Logged |

Yours sounds like a complicated NN, I mean Capricorn in the 4th is a mix of two opposites, Capricorn AND (a bit of?) Cancer at the same time..no wonder that you find that confusing! Hope this link or anything else you can find helps you study and understand it more!
