I just checked my declinations and saw that i have a Mars Parallel Pluto exact. So is this aspect the same as conjunction, do i interpret it as a conjunction? Is it as strong as a natal conjunction or not? Please help. IP: Logged |

I have this too, not to mention my Mars also sits in Scorpio lol. Be sure to check which horizon the planets are on (if that is the right term). If both planets are either on the North or South, then it is a conjunction (parallel techincally). If one planet is on the North and another is on the South, then it is a Contra-Parallel, which can be akin to an opposition. You can experiment with the conjunction and opposition aspect interpretations for the parallel and contra-parallel respectively and see if it fits. CafeAstrology has a little bit of interpretations on actual parallel aspects if you want to see those. Link: https://www.cafeastrology.com/natal/declinationsparallels.html IP: Logged |

As I was talking with another member one day and thinking about declination AND flat wheel aspects. In my opinion I would say that if they aspect in a flat wheel chart (conjunct, square, trine, opposite, etc) AND in declination then I personally would consider them highlighted. In other words, I have mars conjunct mercury AND parallel so in space, the view from earth, they were literally sitting right on top of each other at my birth. So I consider that pretty much my strongest aspect really. I agree though that from what I've learned a parallel equals a conjunction and contra parallel equals an opposition. In my own chart, I haven't been able to isolate and really notice a declination. There's always something else supporting the feeling. Such as sun/Pluto in declination, but Pluto is conjunct asc. So I'm not sure when I'm feeling what. Or Uranus/moon, but Uranus/sun in declination. Same situation with Jupiter. So I personally cannot speak of how strong I feel them. IP: Logged |

Parallels are conjunctions of declination. So, yes, and yes. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification IP: Logged | |
