Quick question...My Venus is at 3.10 Aries, and my Moon is at 5.46 Virgo. I think it's just barely out of orb for a quincunx, but I'm pretty sure I *feel* that aspect. Would you count it? IP: Logged |

Depends.Part of a Yod figure or mystical triangle with the third planet located within 2-6 degrees? existence of a parallel or contraparallel? another planet at the midpoint of those? etc. IP: Logged |

It would be part of a second yod with Venus at the apex, if I counted it. I'm not sure about the other ones, I don't consider parallel aspects or midpoints much. IP: Logged |

which degree does the third planet fall on?And well I sometimes tend to neglect them myself, but actually parallels and contraprallels are major aspects, and I feel direct midpoints might be as well. Well at least Robert Hand wrote this in his book about astrological symbols that the direct midpoints should be counted among the major planetary aspects. I know though that there is probably some difference of opinion on those. IP: Logged |

The other planet is Uranus, conjunct my IC. Uranus is at 2.18 Scorpio. I'll look at my midpoints, hang on... IP: Logged |

Oh. I guess the grand cross that involves my Sun/Moon/Nodes counts as some sort of midpoint? Not sure where the midpoint is there, though. IP: Logged |

Yes, that is 152°36', and is within orb. That is partly because the Moon as a luminary is closer to us and larger and gets a wider orb. However, you may want to check your declinations, because in those positions in early Aries and Virgo, Moon & Venus could actually be in parallel aspect (around 1-2° north). If so, that is a far more important aspect and much more likely to be specifically felt.------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification IP: Logged |

Would you actually count that in as a yod?I don't think I feel that as a yod, particularly, but I'll have to think about it. IP: Logged |
