Hey Everyone!Does anyone have any insight on hard aspects to the Vertex/Anti-Vertex to the Moon Nodes/Planets in the Natal? Or anyone have this in there own natal? What does this mean to you? If you don't know what the vertex is and how it works here's an awesome video by my favorite Astrologer from Portland, Oregan Jewel Mayberry at truthaspectastrology.com https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oqhJqWwM9qs Please do not quote thank you!

""The Vertex Axis: A Special Doorway by guest astrologer Alice McDermott Alice McDermott is an eminent Australian Astrologer who, as Alice Portman, has consulted and taught professionally for 35 years. In 1984, she received her Professional Member of the Federation of Australian Astrologers (PMFAA) qualification and became an Examiner for the FAA in 1986-1988. She first My conclusions are: The Vertex axis is not an especially strong point in a natal chart unless it has a planet or Node conjunct it or in close to exact aspect with it. • If it has a planet or Node conjunct, it often becomes an over-riding force that makes the Vertex and that planet stronger than anything else in the chart, including a planet conjunct the Ascendant or MC. • If it has a planet in close aspect it enhances that planet’s nature, its sign and house to a considerable degree, making that planet a very strong focus in the chart. • A planet conjunct or in a close to exact aspect to the Vertex tends to give a specific and often intense destiny – something the person is required to do or experience for greater soul development, or must do in order to find meaning in life – or both! • Therefore Vertex stimulation can have an almost compulsive effect that overrides all other considerations. The Vertex axis can have such a strong effect because it is the third and most powerful axis in the life development process. The Ascendant axis describes the physical body and brain and the environment in which a child is reared. A child does not see herself or himself as an individual, but as a part of a family and the environment. As this child grows into an adult, s/he develops a sense of self as an individual, and eventually moves into the world to “make a mark”. This process is described by the MC axis, and in our cultures this process is mainly experienced through a career or avocation. The Vertex axis stimulates Cosmic Awareness, an understanding that an individual is an integral part of the Universe, not just an isolated, separate entity. This is an enormously important and deeply freeing realization, but it can often require intense experiences (pleasant and/or unpleasant) to awaken someone to this understanding. This doesn’t mean that people without planets on angles in connection to the Vertex don’t have cosmic awareness, but it does mean that there is not such a strong stimulus to develop this awareness in this lifetime." "In any case, the Vertex is connected with people that become very personal to us; on the other hand it does not guarantee the blissfulness of the relation. When the moon’s node is also present in some way, the relationship can be considered totally karmic, and generally there is no easy way of escaping from the people that the point is allowing to enter in the native’s life. What the Vertex brings is rather uncontrolled, and has to happen so that both parts learn their lessons and progress." ------------------ Addicted to Self Relfection - Jupiter R in the 12th House IP: Logged |

Looking in real quick, because my Vertex is in hard aspect to my Venus and Pluto. So technically I guess I have a Grand Cross with all four points/planets? I'm not sure, but I've been contemplating on how to deal with the energy presented by a Grand Cross with nodes or Vertex/Antivertex, if they count as Grand Crosses. I'm in a hurry atm, so I'll have to come back and read through, lol. Sorry for the haste. IP: Logged |

I wish I had some insight. My Moon, Venus, and South Node are anywhere from 3-5 or 6 degrees away from my Vertex. They're all in a wide conjunction in my 8th house. Mars in Pisces squares them, Jupiter is sextile, and Pluto is trine them all. I have to go, as well. IP: Logged |

Hi angel! I have my Uranus 0 42 sag exactly square my vertex 0 28 virgo, but I really have no clue what it means or how it manifests, lol Maybe it enhances the effects of vertex by giving an extra surprising effect? Lol I am interested to know about this topic in general, too! for the thread!IP: Logged |

I didn't want to post about this in here, because I was afraid it would get moved to Asteroid Astrology, where I find my threads get buried almost as soon as I post them, with one response if I'm lucky. Sorry, another forum tangent. I hope someone can offer some insight... When I get more of a moment, I will look up some of the explanations I've come across. IP: Logged |

I have Pluto square my Vertex exact. I was looking for some info about it but there isn't much. Anyone have an idea? (There's also a wide conjunction between Vertex and the South Node in my chart, 6 degrees). I have to go, IP: Logged |

The only information I've really come across (and it's very basic) is from the Simple Chart Delineation by Walter Pullen. Pluto Square Vertex: This person's destiny, and capacity to transform the self and the outer world is in conflict with their karmic fate and method of reception of energies. Adaptation is required by both sides. I'll add more as I have time, but most of what's listed there is sort of self-explanatory, in a general sense (I think). Interestingly, I never noticed that my Sun is sextile my Vertex, while my Moon is trine my Vertex. I noticed my Moon, but it's interesting that my luminaries both square my Nodes, but make easy aspects to my Vertex/Antivertex. Also, I will add that I have no planets conjunct my Vertex, but I feel transits to it quite keenly, especially conjunction transits. IP: Logged |

I'll chime in for what it's worth...I have Mercury conjunct Vertex in Gemini/8th, ~1° orb. In addition, Mercury and the Vertex are square Saturn sR Pisces/4th, Uranus Virgo/10th, and Pluto Virgo/11th, each with an orb around 2° except Pluto, ~3° orb to Vertex, ~4° to Mercury. Mercury is also domicile and final depositor, so it's pretty strong there. But... My NN is conjunct Venus Rx in Cancer, trine Asc Scorpio (both ~1° orb) and trining Saturn for the grand trine. And... Moon in Leo/10th as the apex of another T square from Neptune Rx Scorpio/1st and Jupiter Taurus/7th. My Moon is about 8° past the MC With all that in mind... I feel my Vertex and NN strongly. Things that touch my AntiVertex, well, I notice. My ex-wife put her Venus on my AntiVertex, her T-square mirroring my Mercury T. My daughter has a placement there as well. I find that many of the relationships I've had involve aspects to Moon, Venus, or Mercury, usually at least two of the three. Thus, aspects to the Asc, Vx and nodes, and widely to the MC. Does that happen because of the aVx and nodes, or because of the planets? Or both? I can answer because I can't test by turning off one or the other. As for it being a mission or obsession, well. I can tell you that one of the most difficult things for me to do is to "stop thinking". I do feel like one of my missions in life is to find my "other", though it seems my life moves forward when I'm alone. Another 8th house theme... Merge completely, then be alone completely. I'm a little tired of the process. I could ramble on but I'm not sure I'm answering your original question. I've struggled to understand both my North Node and Vertex. They both seem to either be ignored or treated superficially by astrology. Yet I'm sure at least in my own chart, they are pointing me at some important directions in my life. I'm just not entirely sure what they are trying to tell me.

I understand geminiblues it is has also been hard for me to understand the north node and the vertex especially since i have an aspect between my NN and my vertex (the square). Thanks for listing your placements and taking the time to elaborate

That was super interesting.. One of my best friends has Vertex and Moon at 27 Scorpio, and Pluto at 26 Scorpio, all in the 5th house. We are both baffled by it. IP: Logged |
