Is it hard for you to make friends and let people in? are you prone to depression? What are the pros and cons of either of these placements in your personal experience? Does anybody have both of these placements? How is it like for you? IP: Logged |

I have Saturn conjunct AC in Aquarius. I have a good friend who has Saturn conjunct AC in Scorpio. Some commonalities: We both are cautious and slower than most to jump to either conclusions or action. There seems to be a common 'ok... let's wait a minute here and make sure it's all strait...' kind of thing going on. We can both be obsessively careful when working on projects. Neither of us are particularly prone to pomp. Neither of us throws emotions around casually. As a child it took me an unusually long time to learn to walk. My friend told me he had a similar thing with speaking. We've talked about being slow to 'get' new stuff, but once we've got it down, it's usually well gotten. We are both repetitive music listeners and movie watchers, listening to the same song or watching the same movie over and over. We've both had a pretty bumpy road though life at times. Personally, I've always had some friends, but it often does take a bit to open up to new people. A few close relationships have bombed. I've never been clinically depressed though there have been some dark periods. Kinda melancholy or subdued comes and goes. Other times life is pretty darn fun. I try to avoid getting carried away with that whole happiness thing though. People who rush ahead with an "Oh Don't Worry It'll Be Fine!!" attitude can really bug me. I love Capricorns and their cynical sense of humor. IP: Logged |

Saturn conj asc in capricorn. Is it hard for you to make friends and let people in? - It's surprisingly easy for me to talk to people, at least when I see people who have certain points that I like, or seem interesting (most do). I'm quite chatty by nature. It helps that usually I appear very non-threatening, so most of the time I don't get negative reactions from making conversations with random people. But in order to call people "friends", it takes a bit more work and time. The turning point is when I or them go out of our ways to help each other, or when they do something that touches me deeply (lol). My heart and mind are like a maze, and I control how far I let a person in. Getting to the heart of the maze, is obviously very difficult and time consuming. Or it can just happen - occasionally, some people just click with me, and drop right into my heart without even trying, or thinking about it. But that's rare. Are you prone to depression? - No, I rarely feel sad for long enough to be depressed. I suppose it's because I let things out frequently, and in numerous ways. If I kept things in, it would have turned out differently. What are the pros and cons of either of these placements in your personal experience? - For me, saturn conjunct asc mostly manifests as restrictions, hurdles and obstacles caused by other people (sometimes the environment, circumstances...etc...) This doesn't apply to everyone I've met, most were/are quite wonderful. It doesn't mean that I don't have good luck. On the plus side, few things/people faze me. Partly because I know from experiences that I can handle things, partly because I accept that bad things happen, kinda like "Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional" lol. Pluto only sextile my ascendant, I don't feel it much. I don't know anyone who have both of these bad boys conjunct their asc. What an interesting life they must have haha. IP: Logged |

Pluto conjunct ASC here, in Scorpio.I am not prone to depression. I can make friends easily when I'm confident and outgoing but sometimes I am very aloof and moody so at those times it is harder to be myself and let people in.

Pluto conjunct asc It's difficult from the standpoint that I don't want a lot of friends or to let many people in. I was prone to depression. Not now though. Pros. Hmmm. I'm not sure. I suppose you could say that I'm resilient. There seems to be some kind of sexual magnetism even if I'm not the most attractive person out there. I'm sure there's more but it seems like everything has its good and bad. Cons. First and foremost I don't like smiling. (Except at home). I don't like small talk, chit chat with strangers. Sometimes I wish that I did but it's hard to fake it unless I genuinely feel chatty. I don't like authority. I respect them and listen but I'm cold as dead fish if they try to act like my buddy. I make it clear that I'm not interested. People quite often think I'm angry and/or don't like them without having attempted to even say hello. (But I'm not into "hellos" either. ) In MY case. I suppose that I like it from the standpoint that it buys my 12th house it's needed privacy. IP: Logged |

Pluto conjunct AC, in libra(tainted by Venus conjunct Pluto, venus 12 degrees from AC)1) Hard to make friends? No Hard to let ppl in? Yes I dont have hard time making friends, I just dont want ppl to get close to quickly...i scare easily. If they are pushy, i run. If they ask to many questions, i run. If they are to nice, i wonder whats their agenda. If they dont ask question and just look at me without saying anything, ill smile, feel awkward and eventually decide they hate me. If you want to be my friend, engage me once...walk away, let me watch you and I'll decide if i liked your energy and if i feel i could trust you enough that i want to let you closer to me. Then ill meet your eye and smile and let you know id like you to come back. 2) Prone to depression? No Im prone to very serious periods of time, full of deep thoughts that make me feel out of sorts for awhile but then sling shot me to new realizations that can make me feel high at times. Possibly thats created somewhat by my saggy Neptune being an exact sextile Pluto... Pro's....the intensity, depth and drive Pluto gives can ensure you have ability to overcome any obstacle, grow from any pain and thrive where others wouldnt survive. Cons...its a very intense and somewhat painful place to live day in and day out. Kind of like you live in an oven but you just get used to the heat so forget about it, until you get burnt by touching one of the racks.

Beautiful Gabby, excellent input. I love the pro's and I think Venus conjunct Pluto enhances your Pluto on the AC, lovely. IP: Logged | |
