I sometimes wonder if it's because of the way we define a spiritual nature now compared with how we defined it in the past. But I'm not married to my ideas. Can you enlighten me please?

Neptune = water, god of sea. Vibrates (saturated) blue.
Pisces = mutable water sign. Vibrates blue.

Jupiter is still considered co-significator of Pisces by me and many other astrologers.

Hey there theunknown

Ok Kannon, thanks! Do you consider Saturn a co-significator of Aquarius?

Yep. Saturn = green, Uranus = saturated green.

And you'll notice I prefer the term 'significator' since a planet can be a significator (energetic principle) for more than one sign IF there is rough vibrational equivalency, which I understand in terms of color resonance (from the work of John Willner). The term 'ruler' implies from its singular form that a planet acts like a monarch with exclusive 'rulership' of a sign. Even when I occasionally use the term 'ruler' I still don't view things that way. It feeds into this notion of planets 'ruling over' us when we're really talking about subtle energies, not some ruthless natural force exerted upon us through an hierarchy.

Using the color resonance guide, we see that the planets have relative harmony or more dissonance in particular signs, the experience of which helps us to integrate all energies as part of the same spectrum.

So Saturn's green vibration harmonizes fairly well in the color ranges of yellow to blue (Taurus, Gemini, Virgo, Libra, Sag, Cap, Pisces) but less well in the purple/red/orange range (Aries, Cancer, Leo, Scorpio) since those color pairings are harder contrasts with no supporting color components. Similar for Uranus, which is why I do not consider it elevated/exalted in Scorpio, and do not consider Pluto (red) the same in Aquarius (green).

So these do not define any 'good' vs 'bad' but variations on natural expression, compatibility, or ease of expression. A planets' energies flow most naturally when there is harmonic resonance rather than dissonance.

Again, don't expect confirmation of this from your personal life outcomes or experiences so far. This is from a perspective of vibrational perspective using color.

Unfortunately the terms 'detriment' and 'fall' are old worn out superstitious terms that seem to infer that certain placements are "detrimental" - utter nonsense - or will cause some sort of failure equivalent to a "fall." They are all just experiences, lessons in energy integration on the way to evolving.

I have not come up with replacement terms for all these, but so far just prefer significator to 'ruler'.

Jupiter has never stopped being ruler of Pisces. It just shares the job with Neptune.

Thank you Kannon. This was awesome. I'm enjoying this perspective you're introducing me to.

ok, thanks. I wrongly thought Neptune had replaced Jupiter.

Depends on who you ask. Some see Jupiter as the only ruler of Pisces, some consider Neptune as the ruler of Pisces and Jupiter as its co-ruler, and then there are those who see Neptune as the only ruler of Pisces. In my opinion Neptune is the only ruler of Pisces. I don't see Jupiter having much to do with Pisces. The archetype of Poseidon/Neptune fits Pisces perfectly.

I'm a Sagittarius Sun/Venus with many other fire placements, also I have Jupiter in Leo in the 1st house, Sun-Jupiter trine, etc. and I don't have any Pisces qualities whatsoever. The way I see it, Jupiter belongs to Sagittarius.

Hi Venustinkerbell

Pisceans are usually very lucky. I'm not sure because they don't notice things happening and only see them when life falls into their lap or they just don't notice bad things happen to them so they become optimistic. Lots of pisceans are great at gambling and taking financial risks. Lots of them are in Finance. They usually can see where the trends of things are ... Do as artists they tend to be very successful too. Prince was a Pisces moon. I think this is why they tend to be quite religious - God has a plan for them all and they seem to trust that.

And of course pisceans are usually generous too. They try to understand how you feel and empathize without judgment. Piscean men and women thus are often very high maintenance because they expect the mundane to be someone else's business. That's why they attract Virgo who like to do the dirty work on the back end.

Oh this is funny. This sounds like the internal battle between my Pisces SN and Virgo NN. Thanks for elaborating theunknown. I agree with your observations and the connection between Jupiter and Pisces.

I feel a deep connection with Pisces and with Jupiter. Personally I like to think of Pisces as concerned with higher things rather than lost and confused, which is the impression I get when people associate Neptune with Pisces.

I think we would understand Pisces people better if we brought Jupiter into mind way before Neptune.

And sorry, I can't help my Uranus, but why isn't Neptune the ruler of Libra, being the higher octave of Venus, and Libra being more concerned with balance, equity, and peace (a higher love), than love of delights like Taurus? I think Libra's motivations, and Neptune's influence could be better understood.

Don't hesitate blasting me out of the water on that. Im just letting my mind wander

I think the color resonance guide Kannon posted shows I'm all that far off with my connection of Neptune to Libra..

I need to study further.
