I understand this is a very sensitive topic for some so I'm attempting to approach this with a lot of understanding and sensitivity.

Some friends of mine have recently lost their son to cancer, he was very young. I am pretty shaken up by it. Another friend of mine lost their brother recently too and another one lost her fiance.

I'm just wondering if this is something that we can see in charts, and if we can, as a parent, do we really want to know? Is there such thing as knowing too much?

I don't think this is something most of us are ready to see in a chart.

Weird planets like Uranus or Pluto, Neptune or chiron in natal 5th house might indicate the possibility of losing a child, but it's not a certainty.

I know of a couple who recently lost their child. Can't see anything in their charts that points to that. Transits seem to be more relevant; I'll be back to share some more if anyone's interested.

I think in this circumstance it would be possibly worthwhile to especially look at the composite chart of both birth parents and see what is going on with the 5th house in that chart.

My brother recently passed in February. He was 23. He had his sun and venus in the 8th. When he died, he had T Pluto conj his Uranus & Neptune in the 4th house.

Thank you all for your responses. I don't have much to offer on the topic but I will attempt to get some info on the parents to see about their charts. I think though that I will just let this one go for awhile. It's a difficult topic, even for me to talk about and maybe think I jumped the gun in looking for some answers.

Peace.

Thank you both Belage & cchampliss

I don't have a chart for my mom but my Dad has uranus & mercury opposite his moon. Transit wise, Pluto is currently conj his descendant and neptune conjunct his moon.

For me, t chiron was conjunct n mercury (which rules my 3rd house). And I have chiron in my 3rd natally. Never understood that part of my chart til now as I never struggled with communication.

^ Bananaz, so sorry to ask but is this in response to a personal loss?

I have Pluto in the 5th, in Scorpio at 29*. And Chiron is in my 3rd house in equal houses- I dont use equal so often but in terms of Chiron it suits me more as I'm very shy and generally bad at communicating. In the Placeidus its in the 4th.

I am not a mother, but I'm constantly worried in terms of children like if I have an unplanned pregnancy, how will I cope with the moral dilemma of that and if I do have children what if something happens and what if I discover I cant have them at all?

I'm so sorry if this is insensitive, but really I can't think of anything worse than losing a child. I am so so sorry for your friends Cchampliss2. :'(

@FruityLlama

Yes, it's in reference to my brother's death. He was killed unexpectedly in February. I dont find it insensitive because I agree--there's nothing worse than losing a child. My mom had a stroke after because of the stress. Im currently pregnant and it freaks me out. I almost feel trapped in this pregnancy because I don't know if I would have tried for kids had I gone through this beforehand. How do you raise a boy to a man just to lose them at such a young age? It's too much.

With Chiron in my 3rd, and with the way it hit mercury at the time of his death, I think it bears significance somehow with the sibling connection. Just not sure what the healer part of the wounded-healer means yet.

I would look at the solar return for the year the loss took place.

Aspects might be things like solar return moon square natal pluto, afflicted solar return saturn in natal 5th house etc.
