Is it normal to feel past emotions, thoughts after a retrograde?

I'm starting to lucid dream again. The other day, I started to literally feel and think of past experiences (this lifetime and past lives) I even smelled past places and remembered how i felt in that moment and how the place smelled. (not bad smell)

I also felt really sleepy, and took a nap whilst halfway awake at the same time. It felt like i was on a trance. I haven't done that in a very long time (years).

Could it be my Tmoon is in Scorpio right on the IC? Psychic events?

I feel like the opposite. During the retrograde I slept like a baby and as soon as it ended I was tossing and turning and can barely remember any dreams. Maybe that's the Gemini energy entering. I also cried so much two days this week from old emotions going out of control. I had no idea what my body was doing. There's also been a great amount of anxiety and rage coming out but in a more assertive way. It's nearly impossible to keep anything in anymore.

The "retrograde sh**storm" as I called it, kicked my ass, and I'm putting it lightly. The first few days of it, I lost my cash card, but froze my account in time to prevent fraud. I forgot to do a lot of things, especially at work. Got into a heated argument with my mother. Became annoyed with my neighbors. Had sleepless nights....AND had racing thoughts about the past.

I'm glad it's over.

It makes sense because we are still in the post shadow period of the Mercury Retrograde. The post shadow period will end on June 7th as that is the day when Mercury will be on the same degree as it was when it first started going backwards.

replies to all above posts.

thanks for sharing your retrograde aftermath experiences as well.

yes, there's anxiety that's surfacing for sure. it's toned down now, but Mon-Wed was when i felt i went into a deep end in my waking and dream states.

@diamondbaby
the shadow phase makes sense, like i said, unconscious stuff are surfacing for sure.

My mother fell and hurt her hip on Thursday night. Couldn't move without crying out. It's supposedly feeling a bit better now, but she still cries out occasionally.

I've been anxious and depressed as it is, but this scared the **** out of me - just like when something else happened with her in February. She won't see a doctor, despite her age. I felt okay when I got out of the house for a little while yesterday, but the clenched jittery, ohmygodwhatifsomethingreallybadhappens? feeling is a main presence for me. So we've been arguing, and I've been crying, and it's business as usual. Me stuck here worried sick.
