Only to people who want to spend their money on the person. This aspect means the romantic partners share their money with the person and have alot of money.. IP: Logged |

Every aspect has benefits and challenges. Venus in 8th adds seriousness and depth to the personality. There is desire to have positive status. Yes, there is a love of sharing of resources, and even good chances of inheriting cash. Pessimism, fear of powerful forces, fear of death and sickness that can occasionally be paranoid are some of the challenges.------------------ Astrology Articles New Services and short readings IP: Logged |

Are you saying that the person who has Venus in the 8th house likes to share resources etc? I thought it was the person who has Venus in the 8th who was lucky. Maybe receiving an inheritance or money from others. Also I read that people who have this placement can bring out the most hidden, forbidden sexual feelings and fantasies within other people. http://astroarena12.blogspot.com/2015/05/venus-in-8th-house.html quote: Originally posted by iQ: Every aspect has benefits and challenges. Well, we love deeply and we tend to be faithfull partners. If I love you, then you can count on me for anything. It will depend on the rest of the chart of course, but I am like that. Also very intense in love, I cannot stand uranian people, free loving hippies, NOPE. I attract partners that are surely better than me with money and I received an inheritance recently.IP: Logged |

I once read that Venus in the 8th could marry rich, but I've never had the pleasure (or made my own fortune, even though I've heard that Jupiter-Pluto is good for that). We've never had a lot of money, or financial freedom. Someone I follow on social media, is engaged to a multi-millionaire, and she's been posting pictures of things she's buying from Gucci. I can't imagine spending $1,100 on a pair of shoes! I've never thought of myself as that materialistic, but dad said to me that I probably would be, if we had the money to pay for things. I think the Gucci stuff I've seen is ugly, but it would be nice to have enough money to feel at peace in that regard (no problem paying the bills, for example). I also feel that fear around illness and death that IQ described, only it's to do with the potential loss of others. Most of my anxiety comes from that. IP: Logged |

Yes I read people with this placement sometimes marry someone who is rich. Also this placement means the person would receive money or inheritances from others. I also have Jupiter in the 8th house. quote: Originally posted by teasel: I once read that Venus in the 8th could marry rich, but I've never had the pleasure (or made my own fortune, even though I've heard that Jupiter-Pluto is good for that). I know this girl who has Venus in 8th.She just seems being offered a better life financially when a guy comes. She's not a gold digger, but she is quite tight financially. She met this boyfriend (I know them both very well) and he is so generous with money to her. He buys her tickets, drives home, does everything for her in terms of money. It might also be non-astrologically related, but just my thought. Also, it might be that she ruled his mind so strongly, because Venus in 8th has this seducing ability. And he does everything for her in turn. IP: Logged |

Well...WHERE the hell is my rich man then?! The way you people are talking. I haven't been pampered anywhere near as much as I'd like to be, but I suppose that this is changing. I did receive an inheritance. And I know that others are in store - so, I've been told. I enjoy this placement - Venus in the 8th. It adds layers to our personalities. A deep, mysterious, erotic edge is present. IP: Logged |

I think this placement can make a person secretive when it comes to their love life. I don’t like telling people about who I’m involved with. Like if I’m involved with someone I may not want to tell others about them. Or sometimes I might have something else going on with another person. But I don’t tell the other person and no I don’t mean cheating. People don’t understand it though they can’t understand why I like being private.IP: Logged |

True! I have it too along with Moon and Chiron and people think I’m hiding something. My relationships romantic or not are always private. One thing that we can be very good at is keeping secrets. IP: Logged |

8th is your personal power.Venus there gives power to you through your people skills, looks or creative abilities etc.You may just be able to "move" or even "seduce" others to a point where they do your will(and are happy to because Ven is clever enough to make them "think" that it was their idea in the 1st place). Venus in Scorpio/8th or in aspect to Pluto deal with the power(8th)of persuasion(Ven)or outright manipulation really. It yields power through suggestion and NEVER through force. If they send a Venus in 8th to a volatile /tense and complex situation, they((8th house person) can calm the storm. They are trusted with sensitive information easily and people may want to get closer and perhaps even sexually intimate with them without knowing why. It may be that they don't have conventional "good looks".But the people still come knocking on their door for their attention. My ex has Venus/Pluto opp.Venus in Aries close to the 8th.People around him him WANT to give him money, want to take care of him.He attracts rich/"well to do" men. Even when he looks a mess, people still think him "sexy". My Venus in Scorpio is in the 7th and close to the 8th too.My partners are usually more "well off" than I am. I slowly become the "kept" one in the partnership and I tend to find out in partnerships, just how wealthy/ connected the people I am with are. Its not unusual for Venus in 8th to love obsessively and for the affections to linger indefinitely. But so is the propensity to attract /retain stalkers or people who secretly love them for years and years (but won't come forward with their feelings). They typically recognize the power of beauty/ respect/ diplomacy or getting on with others very well than violence or stand-offs. So they may prize those qualities (Venus)above all others .Some especially may need to learn hard lessons as to look further than someones facade to find true worth/beauty. As they persuade others with beauty, they may also fall vuctim to being lured by shallow characters because they got too fuxatedi or intoxicated with the looks(this especially when in Libra/Taurus). There is a possibility that they may leave a legacy (8th) (after death) of someone who was beautiful, kind ,gentle, feminine, passive, agreeable etc. If indicated by aspect relations, the death may be connected to a lover/friend or someone whom they trusted enough to be kind and open to.

I have both Venus (Scorpio) in the 8th and Moon (Libra). They’re not conjunct. How would you say the Moon plays out in the 8th?
Your description seems to be very accurate to me. IP: Logged |

I have Venus conjunct mars in Leo in the 8th and am not attracted to wealthy man nor am I wealthy myself. I feel this description of venus in the 8th is cartoonish but if anything my husband depends more on me financially. What I do attract is guys/lovers with a history of trauma and who are in a crisis when I meet them, even guys with a history of suicidal ideation and struggling with depression ect. This pattern is becoming very clear to me, it took me a while to notice it and realize this has to do with venus conjunct mars in the 8th. This description I am giving is real, not this fantasy you will marry a rich guy lol. When these elements just mentioned are not present then the love story is over the top intense but with a star crossed lovers theme or tragic dramatic ending. Another manifestation is yes financial dependance that binds you, making it unlikely you will divorce. I suppose a nice manifestation is been able to accumulate resources over time as a couple but probably after going through periods of economic scarcity first. Venus in scorpio is in detriment after all. It does give me some sex appeal and charm this conjunction yes but no I don't manipulate people and have them in the palm of my hand lol, that is just delusional. IP: Logged |

Thank you for your input It’s very informative. I agree and can relate to your description. I have always been well taken care of and I’m attracted to men who are more financially stable than I am. I have also been told by a guy that I use my sexual appeal to communicate whatever that means lol. But I also have Mercury and Jupiter in the 8th house. I’ve read that Jupiter in the 8th house can indicate having a wealthy partner.IP: Logged |

Interesting to note that beloved English Literature writer- Jane Austen-has Moon in Lib and Venus(ruler of the Moon) in Scorpio (though not in the same house) In my humble opinion, she epitomizes this Libra Moon "make love with words" as well as biting sarcasm of Venus in Scorpio. Her novels have a dialogue that's laden with sharp words(Mars rules Venus in Sco)covered in politeness (Venus rules Moon in Libra). So your personal power comes through speaking harsh truths(Venus in Scorpio) in a soothing, charming and/or palatable way(Moon in Libra). You understand the sensitivity of information and how to best deliver it so as to create as little ruffles as possible. But also(at the same time)have the important information retained by the audience. My Sons got Venus in Gemini in the 8th house opposing Jupiter in the 2nd. Even before i ever knew anything about Astrology, i always had this feeling that he'd be very money orientated when he gets older. His chart confirmed it.IP: Logged |
