I came across this article that says sometimes relocating to a different place is the best decision you can make if you want to find lasting love, but I've never heard this claim nor have I ever relocated someone's birth town to where they live now when looking at their chart because I read that you're not supposed to or else it'll be incorrect, but is that true?

I know astrocartography is based on looking at favorable locations in the world for love, work, happiness etc., but that is all based on your birth chart and not a relocated chart. Maybe I'm not understanding relocation charts correctly. Please help me!

I've never had one done. Years ago I moved 3000 miles from my hometown, my life got better in every way.

I'm living 5200 miles away from my hometown and I find my relocation chart to be completely inaccurate, it just doesn't work for me.

I'd like to know if they work too. I moved overseas from my birth country when I was merely 2.5 and have been here since. If I'm to go by my relocation chart, then it'll make my ascendant Capricorn. Which one rules my life more? My birth chart? or my relocation chart?

I think one's natal chart is the one & only real chart. You were born wherever you were born, nothing in life can change that. At least that's the way I see it.

I don't know personally how it works, but I always thought Relocation Astrology did work especially when a planet conjuncted an angle when relocated.

Well, no, but the environment you grow up in or move to does have an effect too. If birth chart is the only thing then why look at transit or progressed charts? If transits and progressed can somewhat have an influence on your natal chart (such as transit Saturn returns etc), then surely the place you move to can as well.

I like to look at transits (I'm not that much of a fan of progressed charts though), and what I meant to say is that in my opinion one's birth chart will always be the most important chart of all.

You're probably right. I just wonder about cases when someone moves from a very young age and doesn't ever move back to their hometown, as opposed to someone who moved to another timezone midway through their life.

It's very possible that there is a difference. You moved when you were 2.5, whereas I moved about a year and a half ago, a day after my 24th birthday. Even though I'm still young in the grand scheme of life, I was already an adult by the time I moved, so maybe that's why I don't relate to my relocation chart.

Yeah age has something to do with it too I'm sure. My friend was born in Taiwan but moved to San Francisco at age 1 and raised there so I'm sure his SF chart is more accurate than his Taiwan chart.

I've moved twice over 6000 miles and on both occasions I could feel the difference.
The first time, I didn't even know about relocation charts but looking back, I can understand why I felt so good.
I've recently moved again to a different country from my place of birth, and it's amazing how much of a difference my rising sign is making. I started feeling the effects around the 5 months mark but they just keep getting stronger.

I've gone from a Taurus rising (which makes me pretty much an introvert) to a Leo rising/venus in 1st house. I'm not going to say that I was tomboy before that - that would be an overstatement - but I definitely wasn't a girly girl. I'm now finding myself actually caring about what I'm wearing and my wardrobe is suddenly full of pink clothes. People at work also seem to naturally gravitate towards me even without my trying.

My native empty 5th house has now Uranus, jupiter and Neptune.
My native empty 11th house has now Sun, Merc and Mars.
I've started going out pretty much every weekend.
I'm also falling hard for a co-worker that's in a long term relationship and who doesn't seem to care -that much - that he's taken. Nothing happened so far only because we're both pretty shy but I'm afraid it will eventually lead to something if things keep going like this. This is something I would've never even considered a few months ago.

My midheaven also went from Aquarius to Aries and I'm working in a position where I have to develop my assertive skills. It's also a position that many people at work would love to have even though it's not something I was trying to get got by chance.

Relocation chart is definitely something that works for me.

edit: 3rd edit because I keep thinking about more things. I've suddently become very generous. As in, I'll buy a big breakfast and take it to work for everyone to share. I might not eat but I suddenly love seeing everyone else enjoying the breakfast I brought.
Last friday, I went out and bought everyone the group I was with (around 6 people) two rounds of a somewhat expensive drink just because. This is something I would've never done before and I'm suddenly developing a reputation for being soo generous and "cool".
This is not about approval btw as I feel I already have it. I'm genuinely enjoying doing that.

Very true. I was near 39 when I finally moved 2200 miles from Texas to Oregon, and within a month of arriving I met Heather and we've been married 5 years as of yesterday. Previously, I had no relationships and it looked hopeless.

However, I did not use astrology to determine where to go, and I don't recommend that. Just put it to the Universe very clearly that you want to be pointed clearly to the sweet spot on this planet for you to be happy, and to leave no doubt, to make it like a pointing neon sign. Insist on it out loud verbally, and give it time. It will come.

Relocation of the birth chart to this or that other location is a waste of time in my opinion. First, because it misunderstands that the imprint upon you has already been made. Your birth chart does not change because you moved. Secondly, it is a very long, involved, very hit-or-miss approach to finding a good location that puts the power in the hands of another person, the astrologer. I would never do that.

I don't use relocation charts or astrocartography. There are clues in a validated, precisely accurate birth chart that can help with these types of questions, even if they don't pinpoint specific other locations.

I have been living abroad for the last 12 years. For me relocation chart is pretty accurate when it comes to experiences that I have had in this country, but that's all.

Yeah I'm starting to think the relocation starts taking affect after like two years or more. I guess if you've been there less than that maybe it won't.

If you look at your chart on a map does Texas prove to be a good place love-wise though? Like I know you didn't intentionally move there to find a wife, but does it astrologically show that it is a good place? Like maybe you didn't consciously know you'd find love there, but on some deep soul level you knew.

I co-created with the Universe that I got into the sweet spot of happiness for me. By necessity that means a loving relationship.
