They may not want or be able to love you back, but we have all met people who want YOUR admiration, love, time, attention etc. right? Where in our own natal charts would they go? What house? What natal aspects (of the person who is being sought out) describe that? The first house, since the 7th is "others"?

No, what I'm saying is that aspects between Sun and Venus can contribute to this kind of behavior.

When I read your first post, Leo and Libra came to my mind. The reason Leo/Sun energy loves attention and admiration is because they are naturally confident, love to show off and feel like they are the center of the universe. They need audience for their show. Libra/Venus energy on the other hand craves admiration and constant feedback because without it they wouldn't feel appreciated and integrated.

Afflicted Moon in Cancer - how so? Interesting. I'm waiting for someone to say Moon in Capricorn too although I don't necessarily think that.

Yes, i have been involved with 2 guys who had Cancer Moons sitting on my Chiron and they would always want to receive my attention, appreciation, love etc... they always demanded things in sneaky ways and would punish me through manipulation if they weren't receiving whatever they needed.
For the aspects to their Moon one guy has Saturn and Jupiter square it, although Sun and Mercury are trining it.
The other guy has his Moon squared by Mars and Venus, although trine Mercury and Saturn.

There was actually a third Moon in Cancer guy i was briefly involved with, but i didn't get close with him so i can't really comment.

I also have a friend who is also apparently a Cancer Moon, however he is Sun in Leo, so naturally he is attracting enough attention either way.

Mmm... I like diamondbaby's choices because they all seem like people who would just take genuine enjoyment in being alive. They love being a human being, having the human experience, want everyone to look at them enjoy, and also enjoy the lives and accomplishments of others. I don't think this kind of expression is bad or insecure at all. Now there is a difference between this drive and the energy behind someone who has trouble asking for what they want. In my experience Cancer Sun/Moon and Scorpio AC have this problem. However I think it is Cancer who can be problematic in how they get what they want including attention.
