Topic: Oppositions "sister sign" tension or completion?

ive been really curious on opposite signs and how they relate to each other synastry wise, as well as just the aspects, signs involved and the nature of duality. its so interesting to me to notice a type of understanding that is like no other sign but at the same time characteristics and traits that are entirely opposite too.
i met a guy who is my exact opposite! its wild and super intriguing.. our sun, moon, rising are all opposite, then my sun,mars,merc conj libra is opposite his moon,venus,merc conj in aries, the signs involved in that opposition are also opposites too i suppose. his rising is in scorpio with his pluto conj his asc 12th house and my rising is taurus with my pluto/venus conj on the dc. his jupiter is also conjunct my sun,mars,merc conj! i feel like pluto and jupiter are definitely the main themes to our relationship! its a potent one for sure! what are your guys experience with opposite signs??? do you love them? are they your match made in heavan?! I have a cap stellium. My experience with my opposite sign is not great. It's not bad, as far as I know there hasn't been any real bad blood, except for one girl who rubbed me the wrong way in high school lol but that's an isolated case. I do have "friends" who have strong cancer influence though. Idk, it's a strange thing. We definitely don't enjoy each other's company, but we're "close" - not because we want to, but because we can't seem to get away. If they knock, my door will always open. They always say that I'm abcdfghjk towards them and they don't like it, but when they have some sort of turmoils or issues, they'll always call me. Strange indeed. Anyway, at the end of the day, they're pretty decent people. So whatever it is that ties us together, I don't try to untie it anymore. IP: Logged |

I am a cancer asc and I love capricorns (work wise) but I do have Cappy stelium so assume that makes it easier for me. As for as love relationships I have never dated a Capricorn, not because I don't want to, but because I never seem to meet them. However my bosses are always capricorns lol I stopped asking them anymore for sun signs 😃

I personally don't believe that opposite signs are compatible. To me, opposition is more about tension than completion.As a Sagittarius Sun and Venus, I do not get along with Gemini type of men. I have Ascendant, Moon and Jupiter in Leo, and I'm not attracted to Aquarius type of men at all either. Romantically I get along the best with my fellow fire signs (fire dominant men). I love them..my love and I have a Sun Venus opposition double whammy and a Mercury Mercury opposition... It works well for us overall can't expand on it right now but oppositions definitely can be  IP: Logged |

@etherealsaturn @curiouspisces I like how there's quit bit of Capricorn/cancer comparisons!! @12muddy it was a while until I actually started to hang out with my opposites a lot! This past year, it's interesting, or few years, I've iust had tons of Aries!! Otherwise I really hadn't had any overly special Aries experiences. @curiouspisces that's awesome that capricorns fulfill that axis for you!! As being a sun Pisces do you get along with virgos? My dads a Virgo and he always dates Pisces women lol @etherealsaturn oh yeah!! That's kind of like what's going on with my guy! We have so many oppositions and I think we get along really well.. It's a good blend I think, makes it spicey. @yunggang_groto hay! I can totally post our synastry chart up in a bit! It would be really awesome to get feedback from you all! Well, there has to be two sides to a whole. Other than romantically have you ever had friends who were geminis or Aquarius's? I can see the Gemini/sag tension, though I can see how well they blend together too

Depends...Whenever we consider a Sun-Sun pair, there are way too many harmonious (or otherwise) inner planet placements to consider. So, all things written below are of course subject to *synastry*, the bigger picture. But here's how I think/have seen the energies play out: Sun-Sun opposition, same gender: There could be a competitive side to it, doesn't have to be the unhealthy kind though. If they are friends, and/or if they each have their own 'territory' established - then they can be like glue. Fast friends indeed! (Like, *ahem*, Blair & Serena in Gossip Girl). Each may be everything the other's *not*, but that helps!
If they're not friends, however, the 'bad' kind of competition can spring up. They could even polarise into cliques.
But oppositions are, at the end of the day, compatible elements. So, though they might get stuck in the "frenemy" dynamic - the door's always open to being great friends. Together, they're a formidable duo. Precisely because they *combined* their powers instead of wasting them warring with each other.
