This is one of interesting horror movie I have watched which is based on true story and Conjuring 2 is even better.

Lorraine Warren was born on January 31st, 1927 and Ed Warren was born on September 7th, 1926 in Connecticut.

I believe that demonic presence is worst than just a ghost presence. I have experienced once and since then I reject the energy if I sense something. I can not even describe how to tell anyone how it felt, it was just worst than any fears; full of sadness, anger, hatred, all ugly emotions are in one.

It's hard to believe until we experience it by ourselves.

Somehow I just believe them because I have experienced some of their claims. I know it's still hard to believe...

I too have experienced an evil presence so I also believe these stories. The Warrens are very well known for what they do. I will be going to see this movie.

Uranus in for both- which is known for interest in the paranormal and spooky.

Add to that, Lorraine also has Jupiter in Pisces- which can make one an avid reader, researcher, teacher and publisher of such...

They have Pallas exactly sextile each other's (19° ♏ & ♍ respectively). They have Pallas-Mars aspects in their natals (a trine & an opposition), and Ed may have a Pallas-Moon conjunction too, depending on the birth time.

Lorraine has both Neptune & Pluto retrograde, whereas Ed has Uranus retrograde. -- Have a feeling this is significant, though haven't dug deeper into the meanings of these. What do you guys think?

It's interesting that they both have a lot of earth going on, both have Mars in Taurus, Cap & Virgo moon respectively. Despite that, they were involved in these paranormal activities, the kind of fringe careers that normally such people wouldn't go for(?) So, they must have really, wholeheartedly believed in their convictions in order to spin it into a whole career.

In their natals, they also have wide Neptune-Mars squares and close Neptune-Venus aspects (a conjunction & opposition).

Their composite is really interesting, with Neptune squaring the whole Sun-through-Mars stellium.* Yikes!

Composite Pluto conjunct NN, as is Ed's natal.

------------
* Composites are midpoint-based, so I consider conjunctions & oppositions the same energy.

Also, I know we don't consider signs in composite, but it's interesting to note that their Sun-Merc-Moon stellium is in Scorp.

Yeah, and Pallas in ♏. Which also gives a bent for deep investigations of the *beyond*. Not afraid to look into the abyss.

Btw, have you guys seen the original news articles about that Enfield poltergeist?

And/or the recordings? I believe there's something (an interview or more recordings) on youtube, that I'm desperately trying not to watch. But I think I will.

What are your thoughts on the whole thing?

In real life though, that family did not have a happy ending at all. I think that spirit, or that negativity, for lack of a better word, did not 'leave' them after all. It plagued them forever after. Little Johnny, died of cancer at 14. 14, the poor lad. Their mum, succumbed to breast cancer soon after. Janet herself, deeply troubled as she was, left home at 16. Got married early, but had to suffer the loss of her child. Her son passed away in his sleep at 18.

That house is still standing.

This reminds me of something, but it's off topic and would be derailing. I mean, it's along the lines of this but not to do with the same people.

^ Oh, which one is that..?

I'm sure there are a lot of interesting stories on this subject.. Wouldn't be much of a derail, same ballpark.

Def Leppard and the curse. http://www.mydefleppard.com/curse.html

I watched a documentary that they bought the house of a well known Satanist. I don't remember the man's name. (People actually bought his robe, bible, and other things)
They didn't live in the house long because of things they witnessed there. I think one or two may have stayed a bit longer. There has been maybe 7 suicide attempts/suicides in that house since the 60's.
The details are a little fuzzy but should be close to that story.

Whoah..

I didn't know that was the origin of the 'curse'.. Can't find too many details online though, other than the string of incidents and accidents that happened to them.

Is this or this by any chance the documentary you were talking about?

Also, Jimmy Page was rumoured to have bought Aleister Crowley's home, isn't he? Why on earth..

Yeah yeah. That's the guy! Led Zepplin, Jimmy Page.
There was something with Def Leppard tied to that story I thought. They stayed there on a dare from Page or something. Gosh I wish that I could remember exactly.

But yeah, people do talk about the curse of Def Leppard too, for some reason..

And the whole Jimmy Page thing gave rise to more speculation.. Such as people saying if you play 'Stairway to heaven' in reverse, there are Satanic messages. My first thought was, why are they slandering such a beautiful song? But I never wanted to look into whether it was 'true' or not. You think there's something to it?

With the song, no. I don't think that is true.

Edit: some things we know about these stories and other things we don't or can't possibly know. I think that's what draws even more attention to them. It gives people something to speculate about and debate.

Oh they might have stayed there on a dare from Page ! Lol yeah, they are the types to do that...

About the song, yeah..loada hokum.

Crowley himself was Cambridge-educated though.

Page's fascination with Crowley.

I'm going to have to come back to check out the Def Leppard link. If that's the English band, I only remember the drummer losing his arm.

ooOOoooo so ed and Lorraine both have very strongly placed neptunes! with Lorraines Neptune conjunct her asc in the 12th house, and eds Neptune conjunct Neptune and mercury too tho wide. Lorraine too had her venus/Jupiter conj in pisces on the DC so it makes sense that they would be drawn to the paranormal.

Also, ive read quit a few times that earth signs can indicate psychic potential as well or sensitivities to such. water too, but also the earth signs. edgar Cayce had his moon in Taurus, and i believe carl jung did too.

ive always been very curious about ghosts.. when i was growing up i lived in a house I'm convinced was haunted. i did learn later on that the previous owner of the house went to prison for sexually abusing his children.. i would hear doors slam and footsteps walking up the stairs almost every night!
unless you have had a paranormal experience yourself, its hard to explain i suppose.. its very terrifying.. to me atleast.
