Ive read before that scorpio/pluto rules gangs and underground crimes of sorts, which is so interesting to me because SO many scorpios that ive known, or people with scorpio risings, moons, and personally placed plutos have either grown up in circumstances like this, or they are drawn to it one way or the other. and almost EVERY strong scorpio influence I know has a "gangster" side to them, or theyr drawn to it. i even knew a guy who was a scorpio and he was apart of the Italian mafia, he would tell me detailed stories of his experiences in Vietnam war and how he went to prison for killing his sisters rapest. scorpio is a huge theme in my family as well, and definitely drawn to gangs and underground powerful connections. theres a ruthlessness about the sign and planet, it makes sense to me that it would connect to death in this facet too and destruction. this sign truelly has the powers to ascend to the top in the darkest or the brightest way. because on the other end, the most loving and influencial/talented people ive met have also had prominent pluto or scorpio influence. I feel like its a naturally very mischevious sign/planet lol similar experiences? IP: Logged |

quote: Charles "Lucky" Luciano (pronounced /luːtʃiˈɑːnoʊ/;[1] born Salvatore Lucania[2] November 24, 1897 – January 26, 1962) was a Sicilian-American mobster. Luciano is considered the father of modern organized crime in the United States for the establishment of the first Commission. He was the first official boss of the modern Genovese crime family. He was, along with his associate Meyer Lansky, instrumental in the development of the National Crime Syndicate in the United States.

But this is interesting, Gotti was brought down by Sammy "The Bull" Gravano...a Pisces sun with Cancer NN. quote: Gravano was the highest-ranking member of the Five Families to break his blood oath and cooperate with the government, as well as the second confessed underboss of an American crime family to turn informer. His testimony drew a wave of Cosa Nostra members to also become government witnesses.
No Scorpio planets for him...it's doubtful a Scorpio would break a blood oath? --- Carmine Persico Still alive and serving a sentence of 139 years in federal prison. Leo sun, Libra Mars, possibly forming a yod with his Pisces moon...no Scorpio planets. --- Just one more: John Franzese At age 99, "He is currently the oldest federal prisoner in the United States." Okaaayyyyy quote: Giuseppe "Joe" Profaci (October 2, 1897 – June 6, 1962) was a New York La Cosa Nostra boss who was the founder of what is today known as the Colombo crime family. Established in 1928, this was the last of the Five Families to be organized. He was the family's boss for over three decades.
Libra sun trine Gemini Pluto; Libra Mars trine Gemini Neptune which is widely conjunct Pluto (8°). Scorpio Uranus conjunct Saturn; Scorpio Chiron. --- quote: Giuseppe "the Clutch Hand" Morello (May 2, 1867 – August 15, 1930), also known as "The Old Fox", was the first boss of the Morello crime family and later top adviser to Giuseppe "Joe the Boss" Masseria. He was known as Piddu (Sicilian diminutive form of Giuseppe) and his rivals the Castellammarese knew him as Peter Morello.[1] He was famous for having a one-fingered deformed right hand that resembled a claw.In the 1890s, Giuseppe founded a gang known as the 107th Street Mob and which would later evolve into the Morello crime family. Today the Morello crime family is known as the Genovese crime family and is the oldest of the Five Families in New York City.
Sun conjunct Pluto in Taurus; Pluto widely opposing Scorpio Saturn (7°). --- quote: Joseph Charles Bonanno, Sr. (January 18, 1905 – May 11, 2002) was a Sicilian-born American mafioso who became the boss of the Bonanno crime family.
http://www.astrotheme.com/astrology/Joseph_Bonanno Scorpio Mars sextile Cap Uranus-Mercury opposing Cancer Neptune (so, Mars trine Neptune). Gemini Moon conjunct Pluto, more or less (birth time unknown). --- quote: Thomas Lucchese (pronounced [lukˈkeːse]; born Gaetano Lucchese, December 1, 1899 – July 13, 1967) was a Sicilian-born American gangster and founding member of the Mafia in the United States, an offshoot of the Cosa Nostra in Sicily. From 1951 until 1967, he was the boss of the Lucchese crime family, one of the Five Families that dominates organized crime in New York City.
Wow you gotta see this chart! --- So that covers some of the leadership of the Five Families ~ the five organized crime families are: Bonanno, Colombo, Gambino, Genovese and Lucchese.

Going by shows like the Sopranos and some sad things I've seen, I'd say many are attracted to (or at least fascinated by) the gangster lifestyle, though in my observation, those who actually get into it are either born into it or forced (be it by circumstances or the gang itself) into it. If they have a choice, then most will be content with a little informal role playing (hopefully not being too cringe worthy about it) and keeping their "gang activities" to playing video games and vicariously through other media where they can walk away from it at any time.As for signs, Scorpio is said to make the most diabolical criminals, but also the best detectives to take them out. 'Course any type of power can suit Scorpio (unfortunately, it appeals to the less evolved ones the most), be it corporate, political, police, or criminal (and these are all more alike and interlinked--including knowingly with bribes and favors flowing both ways between the power players on both sides of the law to each other, and some laws are pushed to aid organize crime against competitors as well as to keep it profitable--than many people realize, and also see Pirates & Emperors ). To rise up and be of importance is to take on obligations that are burdensome regardless of which side of the law you're on, and it's no surprise to me that many successful criminal syndicates went legite once their legal enterprises (used to launder money and as fronts, means to get at restricted materials and delivery services, etc, and may have come about by providing "loans" to others to start them--and it's not unknown to take over a corporate board, but offhand I don't recall the name of that shady practice) become big enough moneymakers in of themselves. But I'd think Cancer would be the biggest player, either out of patriotism (which can be to a gang as much as to a government, to gang colors & tats as much as the colors of a national flag, and gangs can sometimes be much like a proto-government with some rightly more trusted than the police, at least to those they protect, and their protection rackets can be kinder than that of the IRS) and family loyalty (in some cases, you have to be born into the right family to be anyone of importance), or out of a desire to have such a family when they don't already have one that meets their needs. As a cardinal sign, they're not the momma's boys they're portrayed to be...when I think of a Cancer male who loves his mother to a disturbing degree, I think of the "kill a commie for mommy" kind rather than wishing he could be breastfed again. Though I'm sure it's relatively rare, it's not unknown for gang values to despise rape to the point of executing their own members who they decide are rapists (including a much feared gang in Chicago, though I don't recall their name), which strikes me as more Cancer (who'd be concerned with the women in his own life) in nature than Scorpio. I read before that cancers have a slight correlation with prisioners. I guess it is that protective behaviour of the mother when theyr children are in danger?IP: Logged |
