What kind jobs does each planet represent if that planet is in the 10th or 6th house.

I don't know. My 10th house is in Capricorn and empty. But MC conjuncts Mars from the 9th. I suppose that makes me career driven, ambitious and energic at work. And I am a person who loves learning (probably Mars in the 9th).
My 6th has Moon and Venus, and South Node.

Hm.

This might be reaching a bit, but I have Mars and Mercury in my H6 (Capricorn and Aquarius, respectively), and when I work I'm very dedicated.

A huge part of my job involves listening and communicating with others (my Mercury is conjunct my Dsc from H6), and reading between the lines to assess even the most minute change in behavior (I have Mercury trine Pluto from H6 to H3).

I have Uranus opposite my MC, and I've never stayed at one job for much longer than a few years (my husband has Uranus conjunct MC, and also tends to get bored and/or restless with his work environment), for various reasons. Either I move, or management changes and I've not been happy with the people in charge, etc.

As it's exacting Capricorn Mars at a critical degree in my H6, I expect the people around me to be really on top of their game. Because I always work in some type of health facility (mental health, substance abuse treatment, nursing home) I really take it seriously, and expect others to as well.

So...I guess there's a lot to be said about H6 and H10. My H10 is in Taurus, with no planets or even significant points or asteroids in it, but I do have the Uranus opposition, and Mars square my IC/MC axis. I will often let my frustration with coworkers or supervisors boil silently under the surface until I feel like I can't deal with it anymore, and look for another job.

Don't quote, please.

Adding, that you need to consider conditions in H2 also.

H6 (health, and the environmental support available) for H10 (vocation).

H2 is your talent, money, and self-esteem issues.

H8 is connected to financing abilities. (loans, grants, banks, stocks, partner-holdings-- what's available through others?)

@ StubbornVirgo

I have Pluto in Virgo in 12 House and I am not at all attracted to work in the places you have mentioned. Not a chance.

@ Violets

The way to resolve the volatility of Uranus in relation to job/career (2,6,10 Houses) is to do something related to electricity, like work in IT industry for example.

SV

I have nothing in H12, but of course my Pisces Sun and BML are in H8 together, so I think that might play a role as well?

By far though, I've loved working in mental health facilities and in the dementia unit of the nursing home the most. For some reason, I'm able to understand and listen to people much more on those levels, although I have no experience with it personally.

Lol. Um, no.
Thanks for the advice, though.

Also, that hasn't worked for my husband. He's gone from network engineering to IT management, and it's just not something he enjoys that much. He's really sharp with it though, and it pays our bills and offers insurance, so. Prior to that he did plumbing, worked as a roadie and a musician, etc. Regardless, he gets bored.

Personally, I don't dislike my work or get bored with it. I tend to get fed up with coworkers and supervisors, and have absolutely zero interest in working with technology for a living.

I suppose it's worth adding that I have Virgo Moon in H2.

SV, I wish we could work together!

But, I don't foresee myself working anytime in the near future, more than part-time at least.

Natal Jupiter is in the 6th H and Jupiter is also my chart ruler (Sag Asc).

I love animals and I've had a couple of jobs in the past where I worked with them - but the jobs paid minimum wage and I also have a B.A. - so I felt it was not challenging enough.

Fast forward now, I'm studying computer software and just got a new job that is very related to my 8th H Sun - I'm coordinating cornea transplants from the recently deceased.

I am a very hard worker - I also have Saturn in the 1st H and Cap rules my 2nd H. But I change jobs a lot and always end up with something better so there is nothing wrong with leaving when you are undervalued and unhappy.

I don't even know how to read my freakin chart!!

6H Aqua + Vertex
10H ruled by Gemini but MC in Taurus conj Jupiter, Chiron, SN all opp. Uranus 3H.
Have Vesta and Pallas in Gemini.

Chart ruler is Mercury in 11H Cancer.

I like freedom and that's all I know.

I feel and know I would have been a fantastic psychologist, investigator/profiler. I am seriously mesmerized by serial killers as an example. I never received the right tutoring/mentoring and my Scorpio mother always made me believe I was worthless and shouldn't think I could aspire to anything.

I did study Psychology for 2 years before bailing out of college due to various circumstances. Now I just think it's too late to go back for a 7 year stint.

10th house is empty
but my 6th has my sun/mars/merc conj in libra/merc at 29 virgo squaring Jupiter 3rd opposing Saturn, neptune, uranus 9th, so tons of tension to my 6th apex.
Cap MH, Saturn in Capricorn 9th.

I worked as a preschool teacher for 5 years and was in charge of one for a few years also. that was probably one of my favorite jobs, maybe my 5th house moon helps with that fulfilled feeling in that area.. and 6th house of service, I do feel a need to be of some sort of help to others. I have to have a meaning or purpose behind what I do.. and I'm pretty unconditional with my help I feel.. ive been in plenty of situations were I was the only one who would help someone when no body else wanted to.

as far as the direction goes I still feel rather scattered about it.. any kind of healing profession where I can be with people one on one is something I'm good at, therapy and what not, just guiding and helping/teaching. I enjoy how natural it feels.. Its been a battle between the arts and psychology/philosophy as far as school goes.

Honestly, I feel like my sun/Mars/merc conj 6th adds to my mechanical abilities. along with my virgo moon in the 5th. to me it just screams CRAFTS! and when I read mars interests it resonates a lot, ive always been very good at building/taking things apart, and I'm also a metal smith. I fricken love weapons.. working with all metals and sculpting.
my libra is intercepted in the 6th house also.. so the actual cusp is on virgo. which might be why the double influence, venus/merc is so evident for me.

ive been late my whole life.. I'm terrible with time.. have a very aloof relationship with my co workers usually.. I'm not scared to direct and lead.. but I don't hang around and socialize.. which can get awkward at some working environments. I did graphic design at one point making slot machine games and it was a nightmare having to socialize.. the whole office was so clicky they were pretty offended that I would spend time alone working.
I also am pretty particular about my work, super efficient and competent. so if people cant keep up I don't have much sympathy and I make sure things are done right. not half assed ha. I'm a bit blunt about it.. but I feel like my venus/libra has a way of making it not come across too harsh lol
