There are a few points in my chart that seem "touchy" that lack obvious explanation. Transits and synastry seem to be activated by them without a placement or aspect. One was 27°-28° Gemini. Then I realised it was half way between my Sun and Venus, and conjunct with a 5° orb to both. There seems to be another in mid 3rd decan Cancer. No major aspects or placements. Not on a cusp. All I can think is that it's near Venus/Moon ~23° Can. Edit: there is a trine to Juno and Pallas there, but trine to asteroids? I wouldn't think that would be very noticeable. Anyone have experience with this? IP: Logged |

My Venus/moon midpoint @ 27° CapStrangely I do keep meeting people whose suns are there, over and over, through my life. And they usually change my life. My progressed Saturn opposes that midpoint, maybe that's why they tend to have a lasting effect. IP: Logged |

I keep wanting to join in the fun with this midpoint stuff but I haven't noticed or felt anything spectacular - natal or synastry. IP: Logged |

I've noticed the opposite sign of my moon/venus midpoint is more prevalent with people who've really impacted me. Then again that could have to do with it being conjunct the great attracter.IP: Logged |

I can't really explain it. Just seems like transits in late cancer activate something and every so often I'll see a stray planet in someone's synastry there. Almost like a Trojan point or something. Empty space but something "snags" a stray planet. This past week were Venus then Mercury, with the sun coming up next. Any Fixed stars in the vicinity of 20-something cancer? IP: Logged |

I just brushed up on midpoints recently - so I can elaborate a bit more. The Moon/Venus midpoint = feminine + feminine. This is described as: Emotional Sensitivity, Intuition, Artistic Sensibilities http://www.cornerstone-astrology.com/articles/midpoints_astrology.htm And also your relationships with women. Mine is at 29 Aries - a critical degree, right on the cusp of the 5th H. My emotional sensitivity is powerful and I feel more creative when I'm angry or feeling emotional in general. IP: Logged |

Yes, and also, in a chart of a woman might be a bit of a "summary/ overview" of her feminity. At least in my case it seems to fit. IP: Logged |

my Sun/Mars midpoint (Masculine/Masculine) + Moon/Venus (Feminine/Feminine) midpoints are conjunct. shrugsIP: Logged |

MOon and Venus are. Granted in some signs the feminine might not be THAT feminine. Well, Capricorn IS a feminine sign; I think it is the "lady"-type most of the time. Edit: Also the dispositor of my Moon/Venus-mp is in Cancer, not the easiest placement for Saturn of course, but it possibly adds to it. BTW my Sun/Mars-mp is at about 15 Sagittarius with Jupiter in Pisces. It does reflect my preference for Jupiter-Neptune. but then it shows in other ways too.
my DAd`s Moon/Venus-mp is on 22 Pisces (ad the other end on 22 Virgo obviously). My Mom has Venus-Mars and Moon in Virgo, Actually her MOon/Venus-mp is on 23 Virgo - so she reflects his idea of feminity. (midpoints are always on an axis), possibly more in the cas eof opposites attract though.
my Mom`s Sun/Mars-mp is on 8 Libra (on her own Saturn), and exact on my Dad`s Mars-SN.
--------------------
my brother`s Moon/Venus is on 13 Aquarius, Well on first glance his girlfriend does not have anything important there, and her Moon/Venus is on 13 SAg (curiously my parents have an exact sextile between their Sun/Mars-mps). however her Moon/Venus-mp also is conjunct Uranus on 13 Sag, so her feminity seems to reflect the Jupiter/Uranus-vibe. (it is also conjunct his Moon, no wonder he makes her a mother ). her Sun/Mars is on 26 Cap. his Sun/mars on 25 Pisces (conj. ASC) - really what is it with those sextiles between midpoints? his Sun/Mars falls right onto her Sun and opposes her Moon - so this looks more like serious stuff as well. Additionally trine her Mars. lol we do not even consider trines to midpoints.
------------------------
my best friend`s husband has Moon/Venus on 9 Cap exact on his own ASC. My friend has her ASC opposite this. and her own Moon/Venus on 13 Cancer - not really opposite, but almost and possibly reflecting the importance of this axis. BTW his Sun on 13 Cap is exact opposite her Moon/Venus - so again serious stuff. herSun/Mars is on 29 Virgo; nothing too important in his chart EXCEPT his own Sun/Mars is on 29 Pisces.
Wow!t hat comparision intrigued me!

@ Faith Capricorn can be very feminine. Think British. Think silk and lace, lingerie and pearls, off the shoulder dresses that highlight the neck... Then again, I can think of Sag, Aqua, Gemini women who do feminine like it's a blood sport. All about the details in the chart. IP: Logged |

@CeriThanks for all the data! I'm sleepy and can't think of replies but it was like strolling through a nice gallery of happy midpoint pictures. Never paid much attention to most of mine though when you mentioned your best friend I realized that a certain ex and I had opposing sun/Mars MPs on the APs. That's funny...MPs on the APs....I never ever thought I would talk like that. Right before I joined LL, I copied a post from here that was full of jargon, it said something like "I have anaretic URA 29sc32 in 7H, hahaha." I sent it to my friend and said, "If I ever start talking like this, please let me know it's time to STOP." But she didn't. IP: Logged |

Well I have Venus in Capricorn additionally, and one thing I noticed about me pretty early is that I never have been a "girl" really.
