I found this paper at work the other day. I've heard these terms references before but don't know a ton about them. Is it correct in assume Aries - Gemini is "Melancholic", Cancer - Virgo is "Phlegmatic" etc. then? IP: Logged |

I had a class on this in high school. As we learned it there is always a dominant humor, and a minor humor, though the teacher described himself as choleric/choleric, and it was easy to see why. But maybe it's the sun and moon? We had to choose our dominant and lesser humors and write an essay about it. I had the hardest time choosing and ultimately just made some stuff up. My ASC is choleric, sun is melancholic (well THAT is for certain sure), moon is phlegmatic, Mercury is sanguine. IP: Logged |

It represents the 4 temperaments in astrology.Sanguine (optimistic and social). Choleric (short-tempered or irritable). Melancholic (analytical and quiet). Phlegmatic (relaxed and peaceful). Most formulations include the possibility of mixtures of the types. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_temperaments IP: Logged |
