First of all, let’s look at Jupiter alone. Astrology is a language. We look at each part and then put them together. The parts here are Jupiter, the North Node and the various aspects.

Onto Jupiter. Jupiter is the planet of Good Vibes, Mr Popular and the Big Wide Pepsodent Smile. Jupiter rules the sign Sagittarius. Sagittarius is full of fun, full of adventure, takes risks and has a wonderful joie de vive. Jupiter is the feel good planet, to hone it down to a line. Whatever Jupiter touches, he sprinkles with fairy dust. If it is Venus, the person has “big love”. If it is the Moon, the person has warm, loving emotions.

Jupiter, also, magnifies what it touches. It confers expansiveness. Jupiter’s downside is that he can go too far. For example, Jupiter in trine may offer you a hundred dollars as a gift. Jupiter in opposition or square may offer you a thousand dollars and over draw his checking account Jupiter in trine may eat one slice of chocolate cheesecake with fudge sprinkles and whipped cream. Jupiter in opposition or square may eat half the cake. He just does not know WHEN to stop. Jupiter in trine may ask to marry you after a year. Jupiter in opposition or square may ask to marry you on the first night( complete with a trip to an Elvis chapel) I hope I am giving you the sense of Jupiter.

The North Node reveals one’s life purpose. One needs to study the HOUSE in which the North Node resides. This House will show that which to which one ASPIRES. If I have NN in the second house, I aspire to make money. I aspire to make my own way in the material world. On the other hand, if I have the NN in the eighth house, my goal is to discover and accept my deepest emotions, my inner darkness and my deepest sexuality. I will not discuss every house because I have an article which does that. You can look at the article( or any article on the meaning of houses and figure this out for yourself, quite easily, I think)

The Sign of the NN works the same as the Houses. The Sign is, usually, something to which you aspire. This may be muddied in certain situations but that is not the scope of this article, so we will not go into that here. In general, the SIGN of the NN is that to which one aspires. If one has the NN in Aries, one aspires to be more assertive. If one has the NN in Libra, one aspires to be more diplomatic. If one has the NN in Taurus, one aspires to be more grounded. If one has the NN in Scorpio, one aspires to have more personal depth.

I have simple articles on the signs and it would be easy to study your sign of your NN to see that to which you aspire.

Now, we will study the ASPECTS.

First if all, one must have an understanding of EACH aspect. The conjunction may be a positive aspect or a negative/challening one. depending on the planets. With Jupiter, it is positive, except with Chiron. The trine makes for an easy flow between the planets involved. The sextile is the same. The opposition makes for a back and forth motion, such as when one is happy one day and sad the next–up and down. The square makes for a locked in energy.

Now, let’s study the Jupiter/NN aspects.

If one has Jupiter conjunct the NN, one may have a life theme of good fortune. One may be known for his positive attitude. I don’t like Joel Osteen but he would be a perfect picture of Jupiter conjunct the NN, complete with the sunbeam smile. If one thinks of a classic “winner”, such as Donald Trump, in my opinion, Jupiter conjunct the NN embodies this essence.

If one has Jupiter trine the NN, one may have many lucky breaks. If Jupiter is in the tenth house, one may be offered a wonderful job before it hits the want ads. If Jupiter is in the seventh house, one may find a wonderful wife and have a relationship with many blessings. Jupiter in trine enables one to be in the right place at the right time,in the House in which Jupiter resides.

If one has Jupiter oppose the NN, one may be conflicted about how much to give of oneself. If Jupiter is in the tenth house, one may give too much time to the job. Then, one may call out for a month due to exhaustion.If one has Jupiter in the eleventh house, one may give too much as head of a community group. Then, one may turn off the lights in the house and hide under the bed, so they are forced to find another head.

If one has Jupiter square the NN and Jupiter resides in the tenth house,one may be the most generous CEO one Christmas and Scrooge the next. One may be in the middle on the following Christmas, but may never FEEL that he got it right. He may appear as if he did, but inside, the struggle may remain.

We all have things that we are not good at.

I mean this is life, so it could be either or both.
