I was looking at my solar return from last year 2015 and the this years 2016 - which is coming up on July 30th. I noticed last year's S return, that the IC was conjunct natal MC and this year its reversed - the DC is conjunct natal IC. The Aries - Libra axis keeps being highlighted.

This years return inner chart is natal with outer being S. return:

I can tell this years Solar return has already come into play - look at Pluto conjunct the IC, very intense. I happen to have just started a new job that relates to dealing with death. Can't disclose what - tho.

Anyways any insight on my return, still new to interpreting S returns and also what you've notice with yours would be greatly appreciated.

-Cheers

I've found my SR to be more accurate when I precessed my solar return.

Vertiver,

I would start by looking what is conjunct the Solar Return angles, as that is being brought forefront.

So definitely that Pluto on the IC:

and seems like natal Mars falls close to the SR DESC?

Looks like a very intense year.

And I wold also check where the Sun falls. In the 10th house, might make you very visible that year, and highlight something about your public status.

With the trine to SAturn on your natal ASC possibly you working towards greater stability, especially in terms of values (either your selfworth or even money/ finances) as Saturn rules your 2nd house natally.

trine to n Mars seems quite harmonious and productive, too, a lot of energy, but in a balanced way.

I wonder though if there will be some drama or a push-pull-scenario on the relationship level. As SR Moon falls onto your 7th house Venus, activating the opposition to Saturn-Uranus.

Wouldn`t be surprised if you met someone with important planets overlaying that axis 24-28 Gemini-Sag or even Virgo-Pisces.

With SR Uranus in SR 7th and n 4th house, and sextile your Venus exact (and sextile the SR Moon and n Saturn-Uranus), it might be a suprising pmeeting (they could also have of course 24 of cardinal degrees emphasized in their natal chart), but might actually help the Venus-Saturn and Venus-Uranus-opposition you have natally. Bring some fresh air into this, and might harmonize it in an unusual way (probably not the conventional traditional marriage-like scenario, but something very unique)

I am asking cause this gives me a WAY different outlook this year.

For example:

unprecessed:

SR ASC 24 Scorpio, with SR Venus in 12th house
SR ASC falling into n 12th house

SR MC 16 Virgo with SR Jupiter and SR NN in 10th house (Jupiter conj. MC with 6 degrees)

SR Chiron and SR Moon in Pisces on SR IC

SR Sun in 2nd house square SR Moon in 4th house (5 degrees applying), with SR Moon opposite SR Jupiter (and hence SR Jupiter square SR Sun).

SR AVX conjunct n Venus exact

------------------------------------------

precessed

SR ASC on 2 Leo falling into n 8th house

SR MC on 9 Aries conj. n IC
SR Uranus in 10th house widely conjunct SR MC (7 degrees)

SR IC conjunct SR BML
SR IC conjunct n Pluto exact

SR VX in 5th house

SR Sun in 5th house
square SR Moon in 9th house (2 degrees)
square SR NN in 3rd house exact
square SR Jupiter in 3rd house 4 degrees

Interestingly enough the ruler of 7th house couldnīt be placed more differently!

unprecessed:

Venus, ruler of 7th house, in Scorpio in 12th house

precessed:
Uranus, ruler of 7th house, in Aries on the MC

Looking back on previous years comparing my SR precessed placements vs regular SR charts. The precessed plantary placements make more sense. Particularly during pivotal years for myself. For example my 2008 SR had no indication of my entrance into university (no 9th house activity) or my inheritance (no 2nd or 8th house activity) whereas my Precessed SR 08 had 8th house stellium of Sun, Venus, Mercury and Vertex. Jupiter and Moon 2nd, and mars &Saturn in 9th.

Thanks for the insight Ceridwen. Sometimes its easy to not grasp the whole picture when doing a personal reading because there are a lot of personal bias being played.

Funny you mention the 28 degree Gemini Moon - I'm friends with a Pisces sun - at 28 degrees. I like him - but he is 16 years older than me. And nothing has happened, we may just be friends - but maybe that could be it...

But, how do you calculate a precessed SR?
Now I'm curious.

you can calculate your precessed Solar return, by doing a SIDEREAL Solar Return on astro.com, then save it to your data. Click on it again in your data, change the sidereal back to tropical, and you have your tropical precessed Solar Return.
