Does anybody have this? If so, are you any of the following:-Are you self-conscious about how you 'seem' to others? -Are you overly concerned w/ appearance, more than you'd like to be? -Do you feel like your body and overall appearance is always a 'work in progress'? -Do you feel like you have inconsistencies w/ your personality, as if you have multiple aspects of yourself? Any other experiences or insights about this would be great

I think most of us the world over, feel most of the things that you have listed -regardless of stellium in 1st. But yes, you are absolutely correct. The 1st house is the house of " self" and so i would imagine that having a stellium would have one be very concerned with their physical appearnce. As this is where most of the energy is placed, there is an innate impulsive nature for one to have the body/manner of expression, be the flawless reflection of the whole self. And that is no easy feat. I have Aries Asc and i consciously avoid mirrors because i end up critiquing how i look, what i am wearing and the way i walk. There is a little pre-occupation with that. I remember visiting my friend and his boyfriend was there. When i looked at the bf i couldnt help but think "man, how can you find that sexy?". And i caught myself also scolding my thoughts for being so vain.Because to me, the guy was out of shape and clearly didn't care for it. As the day progressed however, i realized that the bf is really an all round guy. Quite witty really and very engaging that i thought "wow, he really is attractive ". Most people dont identify themselves with their body. It is only i who is like that. And i only have Aries on the 1st house cusp with Mars in the house of health and wellness(6th). So i want people to think that i am in control of myself, healthy and strong etc. What more can be said then about those that have planets in the 1st house ? Yikes! I think that you guys can have a tunnel vision on the issue you focus on. And most times if Saturn or Pluto is part of the guests invited to the 1st house, i would imagine a whole lot of obsessive tendencies with how you look, speak, act or even walk. And this over analyses on self can even mean that you take others at "face value"? I would also like to know that too

Aries23,i can relate to what you said about feeling like you judge others too quickly by their looks. but its mostly only concerning dating. i used to deny this part of myself b/c i felt it was shallow so i purposely set my standards low but i realized now that this is stupid and its ok to appreciate people's beauty to a certain extent as far as your last question about taking people at face value, i dont think i do this anymore than the next person, but its the opposite for me - im scared of other people taking ME at face value. if this makes any sense haha :/ IP: Logged |

-Are you self-conscious about how you 'seem' to others? Always -Are you overly concerned w/ appearance, more than you'd like to be? Yes -Do you feel like your body and overall appearance is always a 'work in progress'? I feel like I can always improve my appearance, that I should. I almost feel competitive about it. -Do you feel like you have inconsistencies w/ your personality, as if you have multiple aspects of yourself? Yes. I can hardly figure myself out, and its never just one thing. Its very confusing. Sometimes its like I am different people with different types of people? And sometimes I kind of blend into and pick up things from other people around me unconsciously (blame it on the Neptune I guess). Mercury, Venus, Neptune, Sun, Uranus in the first. IP: Logged |

This is exactly what i mean too. I fear that people take me at face value so i have only one chance to impress. Its weird because most people actually do a double take when i walk past. And its really cringe worthy to admit to you that there is a small part of me that finds that affirming I work out a lot and keep healthy. But am really harder on myself than others when it comes to appearance. My ex(Libra), was super stunning. But i didnt see that. And when people pointed it out, i was like "well he is gorgeous to me. But i didnt care to know that the rest of the wprld agrees" The thing that attracted me mostly to him were his very deep looking eyes and smile. Man On the other hand, when he was flirting with me. He was going on about how sexy i look and all that. I kinda felt flattered and concerned that once again, i was being graded on the way i look. Like a peace of meat After dating however he did mention that he fell more inlove with my "caring ways"(cancer moon) and how loving i was. So i did forgive him the initial objectification. So its kind of a contradiction really. As i do make an effort to look good, but really resent it if its all someone sees. IP: Logged |

@Aries23 I also have Mars in 6H Haha well you're being honest in saying that you enjoy people looking - it's not vain at all to get a confidence boost from it, but it shouldn't be someone's only source of confidence. Yeah it seems like a contradiction. I guess since we're so preoccupied w/ our own appearance that we assume others must be too. Not that any of this is right, but it's just the reality that we live in. One question: Have you or would you ever date, have sex or be in a relationship w/ someone that would be considered 'unattractive' by your standards? IP: Logged |

Wow I 100% relate. I have Mercury, Neptune, and Uranus in the 1H. You have a busier 1H tho so you must feel this very intensely. I feel like there's different parts of myself. Also, I take on other people's energy level so if someone is talkative and upbeat I'll become that way. IP: Logged |

This seems to be the default for people in general, rather than the stellium in a specific house. I did know two 1H sun and stelliums, and both appeared larger than life. Interesting enough, both were gender benders, one a crossdressing guy (though bicurious heterosexual), and the other a "stud" lesbian who was more masculine than many guys (I jokingly called her "mister" at times). I figured it was their Sag Uranus (both had Sag planets as well) that did it, not that Sag Uranus automatically manifests as gender bending, that's just one possibility (it likes to turn all sorts of things on its head). The crossdressing male did, of course, spend a lot of time on his appearance (most of the makeup and hairspray in a bathroom we shared was his, not mine ), but I'd think all crossdressers do. I didn't get the impression that either was particularly self-conscious despite both had plenty of reason to be, though one was so competitive (and sure people could see her trophies and ribbons) that I thought she might be in secret, but given that her 1H was Aries, maybe it was just the Aries energy. Mars in 6th. Yeah baby Apparently according to vedic astrology(which in my opinion explains house positions in a very insightful way), this placement gives the usually "unfortunate" 6th house strength(as does Jupiter,Sun and Venus). To answer your question:I have dated, been very sexually attracted to and romantically involved with people whom by other people's standards ,are not attractive or are "ugly". I however cannot date someone that is not attractive by my own standards; And by that i mean someone whom is "over the top" , too showy, ostentatious and coming off too concerned with being "seen". The 6th house is a modest house after all. And with Mars there, I find myself actively pursuing and interested in simple, unpretentious, uncomplicated, intelligent guys with a quiet confidence. Come to think of it, that is my personality. So i guess i am attracted to me

Yes to all of them and while many ppl may feel some form of this, I have no doubt in my mind it is more directly related to the 1st house. I feel this is especially so with Venus and the Sun.IP: Logged |

Yeah I guess it's not the worse stellium to have, though it can cause some inner confusion I think IP: Logged |

I have a stellium in 1H, i think 6 planets or so.-Are you self-conscious about how you 'seem' to others? Yes, I don't think its the 1H, possible just human nature. -Are you overly concerned w/ appearance, more than you'd like to be? No actually, once I leave the house thats it. -Do you feel like your body and overall appearance is always a 'work in progress'? Absolutely, I'm into fitness so my body is always undergoing changes. -Do you feel like you have inconsistencies w/ your personality, as if you have multiple aspects of yourself? People call me a nutcase sometimes because I'm unpredictable. Weird is a better word cuz I like weird IP: Logged |

Agreed. When it comes to my mind and actual mental abilities I am very confident and comfortable (in my element you can say). However, I am very conscious about my outer appearance and mannerisms. I have Venus in the 1st conj. my Sun and I am extremely noticeable. I am always being told I look like a model, exotic, etc. but it makes me self-conscious. The attention makes me feel like I am under a microscope all the time. Men and women alike are uncomfortable around me (I make them nervous) which is funny b/c I don't think they realize they make me nervous too lol. I am adored by children and animals though (which makes sense for Venus and the Sun). Oh and really old people for some reason, I get along well with people in their 60s+ IP: Logged |

Yeah I also get weirded out when too much attention is placed on my appearance - but I enjoy it when I'm getting attention due to the things i say or my personality IP: Logged |
