What do you think of Saturn ruling the 3rd and falling in the 12th??I am working on rectifying my chart and am wondering about this placement. I have two siblings from my mother's side and my brother is a Capricorn but he is always in his own world and he has always giving me the impression of being someone who belongs in a monastery living a life of solitude like a monk. I have always felt bad for him bc I feel he doesn't truly belong in this world of material reality. My saturn which rules my 3rd in this rectified version conjuncts my pluto and my sister has moon in Scorpio and she I feel is a bit paranoid, very anxious and in some ways lives in a fantasy world but in a deep level she sees the world as a scary place and everything scares her, she thinks purely in an emotional level. I feel the ruler of my 3rd and how it's placed does a great job describing my siblings who are both my half brother and sister. Even the fact that Saturn rules my 3rd points to my unfulfilled desire of having more siblings that I share biological makeup with both of my parents and both of my siblings are significantly older than me, my brother is 9 years older and my sister is 7 years older so their is this gap in age that makes it hard to relate to them. Then there is Saturn ruling my 3rd conjuncting pluto both falling in the 12th and it's relation to how it affects me specifically. I am insecure about my communication skills and hate small talk, specially at work environment were I am super cautious about what I say and tend to be reserved unless the topic revolves around psychology. I feel at work specially my freedom of expression is limited and I need to measure what I say and be cautious. I like talking about serious deep matters, 12th house themes, metaphysics, spirituality, psychology and the occult. 12th house topics and pluto topics are the kind of topics that I can keep my focus on, learn about with ease and so make a career out of it, they are my hidden gifts that I have been nourishing and honing since an early age but didn't come super naturally to me at first yet I knew instinctively that I could pour energy into these areas and they would become strengths over time. In my case its true too. I have scorpio in my 3rd with pluto in there too and my younger brother is a scorpio sun and venus haha. But i also feel the mercury sign or aspects to your mercury can also show siblings. I have a mercury/uranus aspect and my older brother is an aquarius with some uranus aspects in his chart too. Both of my brothers have been rebellious in their life. And i also have sun conjunction mercury and my younger brother got a leo moon. I also have merc/saturn and merc/moon and my older brother got a cap stellium and a cancer moon. They both really do represent the aspects to my mercury and my 3rd house. IP: Logged |

This aspect of astrology has always been very difficult for me to grasp, but I think I know the right question now that might help me understand it better.I see what your chart says about your brother, but what does your brother's chart say about you? IP: Logged |

Strangely, it does seem to describe my actual siblings, rather than my cousins, who I was raised more like siblings with (if that makes any sense, as my brothers are half-brothers and I grew up closer to my cousins).I have Pluto in Libra/H3, which describes my childhood reasonably well, including my relationships with my cousins...and, to a degree, their behaviors/placements. I have Venus in H9, which does describe my brothers. One is a Libra Sun who is also a teacher. The other two are balanced and avoid conflict, and have traveled extensively. One was in the military for about 10 years and traveled a lot, and the other is great about doing the Virgo thing of working really hard, saving money, and then spending it on what he loves to do, which is travel. The Libra and Virgo brothers are both very political and well-read, and spend a lot of their time reading up on and debating politics. So, I suppose the answer to your question is yes, at least for me. IP: Logged |

Yes. Scorpio is my 3rd house and Mars and Pluto are also in the house, my siblings are all highly Plutonian and one of them even went to the military (Mars) IP: Logged |

Well that would be for him to interpret but will try. I have both of their birth times but it could very well be their charts need to be rectified. However, his 3rd house is in Virgo and I am a Virgo and my sister has Virgo rising and mars in Virgo so it fits, he grew up with us and my sister and him have same mother and father. It gets complicated though with him and my sister bc they both have an additional I think 7 siblings from their father's side. His mercury which rules his 3rd conjuncts his sun and black moon Lilith and with my rectified chart I have Lilith parallel my AC falling still in my 3rd house although approaching my IC. I am willing to bet he sees me as someone wild that cant be tamed with a strong personality that values freedom and does her own thing. I wonder with mercury conjuncting his Lilith if he feels rejected by his siblings and like he doesn't belong feeling like he is adopted bc he is so different from the rest of his siblings. Anyways great question, thanks for asking it. IP: Logged |

I used the solar arc theory to rectify my chart from the initial birth time given and then consulted an astrologer (gave no definitive time) and she arrived to the same conclusion too.I didnt get it and refuted being the Aries rising given and started to read house analyses. Some made perfect sense and others seemed too close together in interpretation. Finally i watched transits closely and learned to read them using the whole sign system. I went back and analysed Jupiter for the years passed and am slowly getting to be more settled about the conclusion i will reach now. I am still watching for timing and precision. So i am going about it slowly. I see that you have Saturn in 12th, any other planets in the 3rd, 6th ,12th and 9th house? IP: Logged |

Saturn ruling the 3rd, placed in the 9th.My sister is a Capricorn, so that automatically describes her in one way. I'm getting ready to leave, so I'll have to think more about this. IP: Logged |

Sagittarius on the cusp of 3H. Jupiter in the 1st.My brother is a Sagittarius Sun. He is utterly self-focused by nature, but is developing compassion, and understanding of balanced social interactions through therapy and support groups. He is on the spectrum. IP: Logged |

Third house is Gemini, sister has a Gemini Moon. Her chart's third house is Aries, I'm a Fire Moon and our other sister is a Fire Sun? I looked at my mothers: third house Sag, her sister is a Sag Sun. Her sister's third house, Taurus, which is my mother's dominant sign and chart ruler(Libra Asc) IP: Logged |

Dunno. Seems we can stretch it any way we want and it will fit. Not in my husbands case though. He has Leo 3rd without any planets. His sister hasn't anything in Leo (apart from her Desc) nor prominent Sun or the like. But when we look at the ruler of the 3rd. He has it in 12th conjunct Saturn. His sister has Moon in Aqua and Venus in Cappy both in 12th. Seems far fetched. Or am I crazy?I have Scorp 3rd, sis has Moon in Scorpio and Pluto sq Sun. She has Aquarius 3rd and I have Aquarius Moon and Uranus sq Sun. IP: Logged |

It may be his chart needs to rectified. Check out kannon's thread about ascendant issues.. IP: Logged |

Neptune rules my 3rd house, and is in my 12th. I have one sister. She has a stellium in pisces but is a typical Aries with her ascendant in Libra. We aren't close enough. By the way, her 3rd house is ruled by Jupiter which is in her 2nd house, but I don't see how it describe me. IP: Logged |

I am not that close to my siblings either and my 3rd house ruler falls in the 12th, I heard on a YouTube video that when the third house ruler falls in the 12th it can mean you don't feel very close to them and have a distant relationship with them. IP: Logged |

@ SylvenIt doesn't work for me, either. I have 3rd house cusp in Taurus, with Venus in Virgo/7th house. My Venus is conjunct my Mercury, square Moon & Mars, and trine Uranus & Neptune. My brother is an Aquarius Sun with three other planets in Aqua, Scorpio Moon, Sag Mars & Sag ASC. He's not particularly balanced either, lol. It's a stretch for me, as well. No quoting, please. That is interesting. But then, she must experience me differently, as her 3rd h ruler falls in her 2nd h... It is also interesting to note that by this, she is my 12th and I am her 2nd. It fits. But it is still strange that her 3rd h is Jupiter, while the only planet I have in Sag is Neptune. I have a strong Jupiter, true, but not stronger than many others in my natal. So I don't understand how it describes me... IP: Logged |

Something has happened that changed our relationship. It wasn't supposed to happen. It was one of those occurrances in which one sees clearly how free will shapes one's life. And in this junction I took the wrong turn and changed things for the worse, including me and my sister relationship, which is not so bad, but could have been a thousand's times better. And much closer and warmer, for that matter. Now that I think about it, perhaps me being signified by her Jupiter may mean I am lucky for her... or rather could have been. IP: Logged |

Well with me you can say they love me more than I love them and they desire more closeness with me than I do with them, we have an all right relationship but I keep my distance and favor alone time over hanging out with them. I feel they are both too different from me to be able to bond with them at a very deep level; nothing about free will in my case, just the way the cookie crumbles. I am not going to force a deeper bond were there can't be one.IP: Logged |

U know this is interesting... My sister has Pisces in 3rd and Neptune rules her 12th. She has never been close to me... very mean and competitive and since I was little I wondered why? I am very thoughtful and loyal and always wanted to have a "sister @ relationship with her but no. My moon in cancer is in the 3rd house and from what I read this means "close to siblings" especially if u have sisters... Nope but I craved it though. :/IP: Logged |

My sister is 0* Leo sun and my (empty) 3rd house is Leo! My sun is in Taurus though. She has a Libra ASC if that can be seen as relevant? In her chart though, 3rd house is Sag. Jupiter is at 28* Pisces and pluto rx is there. The only applying aspect it makes is a sextile to Neptune too. I don't know, but is the 3rd house how the native "perceives" the sibling? I have Neptune in 7th though, so I guess I express my neptune to others, my sister included maybe. Also, we both have 11th house Mercuries, and in fixed signs! Leo and Taurus respectively!
