Hello!
I read on here once that men are really attracted to women whose mars squares their venus? Is that true?
I currently have a thing for this guy who has venus in virgo exactly conjuncting mine, squaring my mars in gemini. We also have sun (his) square mars (mine), and my venus conjuncting his sun. Finally, sun conjunct mars in the composite.. do we have a chance?

I dont know hey..... People go crazy about the Venus/Mars contacts.

Mars is a soldier and not a lover. So yes, Mars can "do" sex and the whole sha-bang. But is not limited to that expression.

Mars must and does move on to other challenges when done as it is in their nature to do so.

The Venus and Mars archetype are so differing and in such cross purposes in expression(unless conjunct). That i really dont get the hype here.

Because it is great for the initial phases of the relationship(where things are all hot and bothered) but when that goes, Venus is often the one left in tears(because Mars has cheated or has moved on)

Now if there is a double whammy i.e your Venus-their Mars, your Mars to your their Venus. This is indeed very attractive and the heat between you two can definitely go on and make many babys As you two will care about lityle else than being with each other

But you will need the good sense of Saturn and Moon to remind you two the other 23 hours of the day when you are not in bed

Because if you dont have these groundin contacts, you will bicker and argue about your differences in approches to other things(the other less desirable trait of Mars-Venus contacts). And become very obsessed with each other the other times.

Mars heats up Venus and narrows its vision when in contact. And so Venus can act a little cray cray when with Mars . And can also have a one track mind(wanting to see Mars either naked or arguing with them which often leads to Mars getting naked).

Venus is a lot more posessive and jealous than usual (taking on a very Venus in Aries /Scorpio expression really) and can really suffocate Mars with wanting their complete and undivided attention.

As a Venus in Scorpio who was once involved with a Mars in Scorpio, i could feel this urgency to get with the Mars person. And being totally engrossed and unreasonably possessive with them too. So you have been warned.

If Venus/Mars is one way. It is usually the Venus person that does "double duty". Because Mars thinks of Venus as a beautiful conquest. Emphasis on CONQUEST.

Now if beautiful Venus aspects benevolent Jupiter on the other hand. That means that the love (Venus) can grow (Jupiter). Both in the physical ,intellectual as well as the emotional aspect.

Jupiter heats up Venus too in this contact. But it also expands Venus gaze to "look at these other wonderful traits I have" and is the great benefector and renews confidence, hope and promise.

It may feel less "urgent". But it has more promise in the long run. And less drama.

But ofcourse if you can manage Ven/Mars contacts then go for it. I could not as Venus/Mars midpoint is conjuct my Pluto

I have something like that with someone.

There's a connection but its not always a smooth connection.

The best thing to do is let "things fall into place" and if the relationship doesn't pan out astrology explains why.

Yes to all of this!

Especially the "conquest" part. That's exactly what I feel like being Venus in a Venus-Mars square. Mars wants to ..well, you know. Venus is all coy and loves being chased. It's all hot n heavy. Until .. the conflicts. I do *not* like being the possessive one. But I couldn't help it. Venus does get more possessive and Mars gets angrily jealous. They each think the other is unfaithful. And sadly, it might become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Venus-Jupiter really soothes past hurts from Mars, and stokes Venus' vanity.
Jupiter aspects in synastry in general point to "spoiling" the other person, or spoiling each other. But Venus-Jupiter especially so. Jupiter wants to lavish Venus with gifts just because. And we all know how Venus loved to be adored.

I think the square can cause kinds of friction other than sexual attraction--and remember that Venus-Mars contacts are common and not generational, so each of us will have Venus-Mars with a lot of people.

I had the square in my most recent relationship--I'm female and I was the Venus. (My Venus square his Mars (1), his Venus trine my Mars (6)...so a loose-orbed double whammy.). There was an enormous amount of sexual attraction and sexual tension from both sides.

Venus/Mars isn't all THAT common. Generational aspects are common. We have generational aspects with a lot of people, not the other way around.

Of course, but we have the SAME generational aspects with everyone our age--so for example, in a classroom of 45 students around the same age, they'll ALL have Pluto conjunct Pluto, enough that it won't affect how the group splits into couples.

A huge percentage of people will share personal planet to personal planet aspects.

I'm bad at math, but everyone in my chart database seems to have Mars-Venus aspects with everyone else, regardless of whether they're involved or even know each other.

I just don't think any man will be attracted to EVERY women whose Mars touches his Venus or vice-versa. there are a lot of people with these aspects in my chart database who aren't-attracted to each other. I think they're better for showing HOW sexual attraction might play out between two people who are attracted than for indicating whether people will be attracted.
