This sounds like something I would have been interested in, because I've sucked at ignoring things over the past few years. Life was a lot happier when I could.IP: Logged |

Well for me it's not so much "knowing" as it is "choosing". I don't so much lack will as much as I make a decision. Sometimes I honestly don't mind choosing the wrong things. I'd be bored without a little chaos, a little drama. If someone understands my chart, they understand this. I'm very mutable, but with tension. Lots of will power, but think of it as a changeable will power. A will power that is less fixed. My mind races and changes, which means that my thoughts change, my decisions change, and my will changes. Sometimes I chose to be a jerk, sometimes I don't. If you watch carefully, you'll see it. (Which also means that I'm plagued with edits as all of those things change)

Teasel, I have also had trouble ignoring things especially in the current global environment. My first reaction was to shut the world and media out for several years. I used to listen to global and financial news 24/7, drove my husband and babies nuts. After the invasion of Iraq I turned it all off for an entire decade. I was involved because of my volunteer work, but I couldn't hear voices I didn't want to hear.It gotta be Saturn and Mercury in play for this, Knowing What to Ignore, because one part involves determining whether a genuine attempt to communicate is being made (Mercury), and the other involves restraint and holding back from commenting (Saturn?). Hey DopGang I know you like to mix it up, and even though you said you can be a jerk and I'm sure you can, I never see you having a good time at someone else's expense. Good point about being mutable. I am very fixed. I have very strict engagement rules..that I don't always follow..eta: my Leo Mercury, though rebellious, shudders when Mark Twain says Something like, Never argue with stupid people. They'll drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience There are some things to which there really is no response IP: Logged |

Oh, and according to Pullen, poor old Saturn ranks 10th.
