What do you think of skateboarding particularly the type of unconvenionalities it generates. Would this be a uranian perhaps Pisces or Scorpio ruled sport since it is underground and very individualistic. IP: Logged |

It doesn't seem unconventional to me anymore. Granted, it's nowhere as popular as video games, but it's still much easier to get and learn than it used to be, it seems more corporate to me than it used to be, and I see a lot more into skateboarding these days than I used to. It did seem a lot more unconventional back in the 90s (and I'm sure it was more so in the decades before that), especially for me as I was a girl, and I was the only one I knew of back then (it may have mattered that I was in Texas), and it seemed most females just assumed that this was my strategy to win boyfriends. But these days I've seen plenty of girls on their own skateboards. My skateboarder (thrasher) friends were mostly the same age (give or take a year) and born throughout the year (I could share the birthdays of a couple within a couple of days or so, but I still wouldn't know their time or place of birth). We'd have shared Sag outer planets. Of course, a lot more weren't thrashers who had the same placements. As for those who did thrash then and there, I can only give the details of myself (though I could give approximate birth dates for some, without knowing the time or place) which does make me Uranian with my Uranus in a 5H stellium of moon, Mars, Uranus, Neptune, which is sextile to my 3H Libra sun and stellium (merc, Venus, Saturn, Pluto). Most of those planets (and sun) are on the Scorpio cusp as well, with a Scorpio Jupiter in between stelliums. I'd gotten interested in it at age 11 because a girl in The Crow used one, but I didn't get a skateboard until my 14th birthday, and by then some sentimentality was added into it, which probably minimizes my 5H Sag Mars-Uranus as a reason for being unconventional. I thought it would be worth adding that my closest astro-twin (born hours later in the same hospital, and strangely even had a name very similar to mine) was very conventional. My 5H falls in her 12H. She hated everything about me (I think I represented all that she feared in herself, and her 10H sun & stellium could also mean she felt I got things unfairly), including that I was a skateboarder. Heh, I wonder if the teacher believed in astrology (we learned we were born the same day because the teacher was big on announcing birthdays). If so, I bet realizing we were born the same day (and we also learned we were born in the same hospital when one of the kids asked if we were born in the same hospital and as it's on our birth certificate we both happened to know that we were, which led to that kid asking if I'd stolen her pacifier back then given how much she hated me) made the teacher question her belief in it. It doesn't seem unconventional to me anymore, either. There was only a small group of us where I went to high school in the '90s (I did not offer much of an attempt to learn how to do it, but most of my guy friends at that time were very into it, and some have made a living off of it in various ways). Now I see skateparks in most towns, even the small ones, whereas we used to get chased off by business owners because the only places we had to skate were against various walls, or if someone had the ingenuity to build a ramp in their backyard. Anyway, I don't know which planet would rule that, or sign... It is still a bit unconventional, compared to other sports, so sure maybe Uranus. IP: Logged |

I skate for practical reasons.I'd say its more Sagittarius oriented and even maybe Gemini since it involves travel. People like to talk to skaters IP: Logged |

I agree with Sagittarius. I know that sports in general are ruled by Sag, but skateboarding in particular does seem very Sag-like.IP: Logged |

hmm... Skating was invented in dogtown i dunno. Dogtown and Zboys right? so maybe you should look back than? uranus definetly something inovating something also to be put in place of something else. ( when no waves, so they started skating) kind of, they could not stand it to be without surfing, so this lead them to invent skating. the primal idea of skate is surf on the asphalt i think. so neptune? asphalt would be what? crashing on the asphalt involves blood, skating involves blood, blood is aries? hahaha I`m just playing aroun, i am no astrologer :P but i have skated also in my life! i began with 12, cried desperetly when i saw my brother breaking his arm while doing it, broke mine some years after, you say skating is individualisitc, but it is very confraternizing also! I am 25 now, last time i skated was with the boys of my little town (3k habitants) . was a fun interaction, i saw them there, and than i like, yeah gotta skate `n show something, like ol` times. I went there, i think i skated with the skate of the 3 boys, so i skated with 3 different skateboars. they where learning ollies, shuvits, they had a lil self made rail, doin lil boardslides.. so I showed them a completly different style. like sliding and donig cavemans also.. but i never did much tricks, i never eaven got to try the treflip, when i was younger i did the flip, but i went like 1 year without skating, and have lost it. and tricks is that stuff, you have to train train train.. in the end i was more for cruising i eaven cut of my streetskate to a minilong.IP: Logged |

No offense but it's a sport and I don't think there's anything astrological about it.IP: Logged |

That is so weird - I just input the chart of a diehard all-consuming skateboarder. No Scorpio or Pisces planets, but Neptune in Aqu and super strong Uranus & moon in Aqu IP: Logged | |
