I read this about venus/pluto folks "many Venus-Pluto folks can draw intense feelings of attraction out of people of every orientation that may sometimes be more amorous and admiring than sexual (like a very strong man-crush), serving as examples that those binary labels of attraction are much more complex than that.."

When i read that i was a little freaked out bc of the accuracy in my case. A gay man did have a crush on me once and told me i am the only girl he has ever had a crush on, I was very surprised by that. I have seen this man date other guys, had huge crushes on some guys, been heartbroken by a guy and it has always been all guys so when he told me he had a crush on me i was very taken aback. Wow....pluto loves it complicated doesn`t he? ugh. I thought only we venus/pluto folks were the ones that would throw ourselves into complicated situations and have complicated feelings but not draw it out of some innocent poor soul`s heart.

Lol i can relate. Esp one guy i was attracted to was veeeery feminine. But even some of the more manly guys i have been drawn to have had a girly vibe to them.

I have a Venus-Pluto conjunction (with sun and stellium), but I'm not aware of any gay men who have crushed on me (though one said I was the first woman to make him actually want to be attracted to women).

But yeah, the binary model is too simplistic. Even those who seem strict in being gay or straight seem to have at least one puzzling crush (with one night stands and even flings more common than thought) that goes against their label, and it's not just that the person they crush on seems to appear somewhat as the other gender. I really would like sexuality to be studied more in all its complexity, but it just has too much emotional and political baggage to make that a reasonable expectation (even those who make an honest attempt will probably be stymied by outside forces, and unconscious forces and genuine confusion can also affect both researchers and those interviewed even when all goes well).

Just in case it needs to be said...

I think the majority of gay men can't be distinguished from any other type of men, including in general masculinity (behavior, appearance, interests, etc). Though there are some very effeminate gay men, there are also very macho gay men as well. Naturally, the effeminate ones are the ones to stand out the most (furthermore, many straight effeminate men can be mistaken for gay) so it gives the illusions that such is the norm, but not all the gay men advertising themselves as "masc4masc" (masculine for masculine) are going to be noticed (some describe how people even refused to believe them when they came out as gay).

I have a good friend who is gay, and he constantly complains about the lack of masculinity in the gay community. He says that even the more masculine ones will still be feminine in a lot of ways. For example, it's common to see a big muscular guy with a girly voice who is very animated with his body language and sings Madonna songs out loud.

I have venus opposite pluto and just about every man i have been very attracted to, was/are gay. No, they're not effeminate because I like/prefer very masculine men. The man I fell in love with and was planning to spend my life with I suspect of being in the closet because I caught him online with some comments and checking out men in public, we are no longer together but he was the first man I have ever been sooo attracted to and vice verse, I felt like I was hit by some love arrow when I first met him. I just don't know why i'm attracted to them, just recently my friend was showing me pics of her cousins and I go, he's cute, and she's like no he's gay/bi....I don't attract them but usually I'm attracted to them. Does anyone have a suggestion as to why? I don't have aquarius venus or uranus aspecting it.

Enneline i don`t know, but venus-pluto is the only placement i have read this about but it might be more. Also one time a gay man i didn`t know texted me on Facebook just to tell me he thought i was so beautiful but that i shouldn`t be creeped out bc he is gay. We both commented on a vid that had gone viral on Facebook so he found me there. I remember i immediately checked his chart bc i wanted to see his venus sign since it shows what a guy finds attractive and beautiful esp in women and it was in cancer which might explain why he thought i was so beautiful bc i do have a cancerian look to me. And the gay guy that had a crush on me also had a water venus, it was in pisces and i am very neptunian and i have a water moon so i think his water venus must have been drawn to that. And another gay guy that was very interested/curious about me had a scorpio venus. This guy i think was drawn to my silence and reserved nature and maybe picked up on my venus-pluto aspect. So for me it has only been three guys and all of them had a water venus that matched something in my chart.

hahaha, once a gay guy was REALLY hitting on me. He wanted me to touch his muscles and almost attempted to kiss me and asked me "what if i was not gay?!"

Also, gay men, would do not hit on me, love to flirt with me they would even stop and talk with me on the street

It's a very wide opposition to my gemini moon and aquarius is on my 8th cusp. Also my taurus venus sits in 10th, taurus is my 11th house cusp, i'm wondering if thats the reason. I have had gay guys hit on me at clubs about 3 different occasions and then inform me they were gay..I was always puzzled by this.

This i think definitely might be a big factor. But did you have anything compatible with these guys to, esp with venus or mars? Like did they have maybe their sun in the same sign as your mars or maybe they had strong influence from the same element or planet your venus sign rules? Like with those guys i drew to me i matched some of what their venus sign likes. Like the one that had a crush on me had a pisces venus and i am neptunian and i think his venus was drawn to that.

Usually Venus contacts to my sun and Mars like the one I was planning my life with had his Pisces Venus conjunct my sun/mercury, our Mars/sun signs conjunct in Aries (our birthdays are March 21/22) my Pluto conjunct his moon along with some other aspects. He has moon conjunct Pluto opposite Mars/sun. Now that I think about it my Venus is usually doing something to their Pluto/Venus/Mars. I really do thank you for helping me with this.

Now that I think about it, my pattern seems to be this way too...

I've really only dated men long-term who are a little "softer" in appearance and mannerisms (seem to attract men with cancer or libra placements) and definitely not the tough, brutish, macho types. This is a turn off to me actually.

I have the Venus/Pluto square almost exact.

As far as gay men being attracted to me...mmm...never been around enough to know. Though my coworker is gay and he is very fond of another female coworker who has Venus opp. Pluto so maybe?

super true, ive had gay men be attracted to me/kiss me before or just admire me, I have really long, thick hair, haha so it usually attracts attention.. along with my style/personality :P
my best friend is gay, recently we went to the lake and I met one of his friends who said he was gay, but I definitely got bisexual vibes from him, he kept saying how "cute" I was and how much he liked me.

I'm also bisexual, so I'm not sure exactly how I exude my sexuality, but ive had countless random moments where I was hit on, stalked, aggressively pursued by lesbians. ha I think its because of my mars conjunction to my sun and mercury I have a masculine flavor I put out.. I feel rather androgynous honestly, a good blend of male and female energy and I think that's picked up on. most of my closest friends are gay/bi.

so yes, I feel like I attract people from all orientations.. definitely just pure love <3

No problem I definitely think it is a mix of their planets hitting your venus and your 8th house aqua cusp and moon-uranus opposition that makes you drawn to these guys.

This same thing happened with the guy that had a crush on me. He was in love with me but wasn`t sexually attracted to me. Didn`t even feel like kissing me even though he found me very beautiful. Well one of them has a 12th house Libra Moon that is trine my Sun and Moon, making a grand trine. Her Saturn trines my Mars (five degrees) and we have Pluto-Venus square (I'm Venus) with Pluto trine Jupiter exact. I guess I am somewhat drawn to her appearance, although I am not intent on starting something with her as she remains the same herself.

I always thought, it's because of my "exotic" looks. I have been told it's supposedly trendy in some gay circles to have an exotic "girlfriend". They wouldn't sleep with her but cuddling and flirting are inclusive
