I keep reading about how this placement will make a person very spiritual, but I don't feel that way at all. I'm not a religious person, I have my own system of beliefs mostly because it's hard to get rid the influence of the Catholic precepts I grew up with. I do have a lot of question about why we are here, what's my purpose, when will all ends, but I'm not searching for answers at the moment. My yoga class is the closest I could be to something "spiritual".

I also have Jupiter conj. MC.

What other placements could deter me from being more spiritual?

I was wondering the same thing. My sun is in the 9th house in Pisces and I don't feel that I am religious or belong to any other spiritual group. I have my own views on this which are very different I guess than most people hence why I don't belong to groups.

9th house is a lot more than spirituality. It's long distance travel ( I love abroad), it's higher education (I loved going to university and I wish I could do 100 degrees in verious subjects) , teaching ( I would love to at some point teach art) etc etc

I forgot to add my Jupiter is Rx and conj. MC, so maybe things will develop later in life?

The funny thing is that I love what a 9th house Jupiter brings to one's life, but I don't have any of those things so far (I'm 30).

- Travel abroad? Yes, please, it's my dream. But I don't have the money and my boyfriend is not into the idea yet (maybe after we get our own house).
- Higher education? Not for me, I left college twice and now I run my own business. I LOVE learning, and I feel great when I add knowledge to my life.
- Marry a foreigner? I have a Sagi 7th house, my boyfriend is from my own town and we've been together since 18.
-Teach? I could see myself as a guide to others in my area of expertise, people often come to me for advice, but I don't feel that my path will go that way.

The only thing I can relate with this placement is that 99% of my clients (hence my business) are foreigners.

PixieMG..

You're on an astrology forum. I'm willing to bet you have a lot of other "supernatural" or mystic interests, too. I think these things fall under spirituality.

Do you believe in a higher power? Ghosts and spirits? Other universes and dimensions? The higher self? Things not explained by modern science yet they are real to you? This is considered spiritual in my book. Maybe you are more spiritual than you think.

That's an interesting POV, I always been interested in astrology since a very young age. In the last few years, I've been using it as a way to keep my hopes high as I'm dealing with some difficult thighs in my life, looking for the day when things will be better, perhaps other people would turn into religions.
Anyway, I always related this interest with my Scorpio Pluto, but it can be a mix of both placements.

Jupiter and 9th house issues really emphasize expansion of the mind. This doesn't have to be just traditional academics, like college.

I definitely think these things can fall under 9th house issues, but they are also a Pisces/12th house subject as well.

Edit: I don't know how to say what I want to say. At least not in a way that is brief enough for a forum.

You have Gemini Ascending. I just want to clarify something, is your 9th and Mc both in Pisces? And what about the 12th house ?

I agree with Frankie.

I don't see the 9th house as particularly religious, unless someone is inclined that way to begin with.

Spirituality can take on many forms, but the 9th house also deals with politics, philosophy, higher education, etc.

My brother has a 9H stellium in Libra, including Jupiter, Sun, Saturn, and Pluto. He's not particularly religious or spiritual by any stretch, although he does wonder about it, I suppose. He also has a Pisces Moon, but again I don't find him to be a particularly spiritually minded person. The Libra tends to outweigh that, I think.

He's a teacher, he reads avidly about politics, and finished his master's degree. I believe a lot of his leanings are in line with his 9H placements.
I wouldn't want to argue politics with him, but we tend to agree on most things anyway.

I have Saturn/Neptune/Uranus placed in the 9th house, with my Uranus right on the cusp of 8th/9th house, it's considered to technically be in the 8th. These 3 are apart of a 7 planet t-square between my Jupiter in the 3rd and sun/Mars/merc in the 6th. TONS OF TENSION

I'm not religious, never grew up with any religious influence BUT I've always been insatiably curious if the mystical/spiritual side of life. I also have a prominent Venus/Pluto conjunct on DC in Scorpio, so that could also contribute.

If anything, I'm very philosophically spiritual. I wouldn't really conform to anything but I've built my beliefs through experience and research. A universal truth, which is what I believe the 9th house holds, the connecting ideologies throughout the world/cultures that still resonate to the same laws and truths. So in a sense, I am very spiritual.. Little rituals that I do on the daily, like my oils, tarot, astrology.. Just sitting by my favorite tree and meditating, that's my spirituality. I resonate strongly with my 9th house influence, even Uranus on the 8th cusp and 9th, death and the afterlife have always been a fascination, which I correlate to my dreams and the astral.. It's crazy how these themes pop up in the life and your inevitably drawn to those experiences whether you know the planets or not.

Yes, both Jupiter and MC are in Pisces, MC at 29°43'. My 12th is empty in Taurus.
