I know that our planets progress as we grow older but I'm not speaking about progressed charts.

Do you think that the Sun signs can possibly exhibit noticeable maturity levels? I heard somewhere that our Sun sign is what were ultimately striving to be, so most people don't fully grow into their Sun signs until they mature.

For example, do you think there is an astrological difference between a 24 year old Sun in Aquarius vs. a 42 year old Sun in Aquarius? Is there an "immature" version of an Aquarius and a "mature" version of an Aquarius?

*I get that the older you grow, the more you will eventually mature (hopefully lol) and this is just life in itself, which doesn't have much to do w/ astrology. I guess my question is, do the Sun signs show an 'evolution' that happens in concurrent w/ maturity level?*

Hopefully people understand what I mean

I think there can be phases to the signs. For example, it is said that in their youth, Capricorns are very serious, but the more they age the more childlike they become..

It would seem logical that Sun signs mature as they grow older and wiser. Though, could a Sun sign be in its purest form at a young age (before things like ego, fear, and one's inner dialogue take over)?

You raise a great question, but I don't think I have the mental energy to devote a lot of time to this idea tonight.

Gemini doesn't age. They remain cute little boys at age 93. See Bob Hope for an example.

Yes,
signs can mature, but it isn't a guarantee by any stretch of the imagination because some people never mature.

Capricorn ages in reverse.

That's why my age is -40.

I agree with aqua guy. You can see a whole range of maturity level of any sign.

I was more mature when I was a kid/young adult. I regressed somewhat, for a few years there, due to *a lot* of stress and loss. Being blamed for things that weren't my fault, repeatedly, was also part of that, and I'd had enough.

Edit (original post below)

I believe so. Every sign has its lessons in life that we are here to learn. Each transit bringing up a new lesson or revises and renews an old one, just on a different level (psychological/spiritual/physical).

I'm of the opinion that some folks don't age in their signs because those people have either experienced a delay in their psychological/mental or physical progress. Or (this is usually the case)they are creating that delay within themselves while attempting to pretend that real and/or projected change has not occurred, deny it or blame it all on something (be it current situation, a perception, a past event or someone else)when there are multiple factors or people involved and they choose to put the blame on one person / event rather than take responsibility for where they are in life and move past it.

Or they caused the change within themselves by staying in a toxic space (relationship, a location etc.) and choose to blame external factors. Sometimes it is caused by external factors and its up to the experiencee to fumble through it and figure out the life lesson they arrive at, accept it, let it go and then (the most difficult of all) Forgive.

Or all the above combined all at once or at different stages life.

Or do you mean 'age' as in the three decans of each sign?

If that's the case then possibly. The first decan being the youngest, second is in the middle of 'maturing' and the third decan being given different life lessons than the previous two (but still learning).

If the signs (and the souls who represent them) do age, then it would probably require experiencing a lot of reincarnations (perhaps the Dalai Llama is an exception here though

Whether you believe in reincarnation is up to you though.

For each sign to age in terms of reincarnation, one would have to reincarnate at least twice in each astrological sign to try out a couple of decans. That way you'd understand all zodiac signs. The only indication zodiac maturing is being able to 'put yourself in the other person's shoes' or in this case, each 'signs shoes' in by exploring all signs and decans and then being able to empathise with them, to understand where they are communicating from within their psyche.

Then again, not everyone represents their star sign. As I've seen discussed on other threads, many are more like their rising sign, moon, MC etc. When it comes to aging in one sign, everyone has their own life lessons to learn. Regardless of whatever star sign they are. Sometimes though, if you are born in the first decan of any sign, then you will probably be forced to face the main lessons that corresponds with that decan.

I have a mixed view about that..

In terms of appearance I would tend to agree.

My Gemini uncle looks exactly the same as I saw him when I was 5, even my parents have commented he hasn't age in the last 15+ yrs.

When I shave I look a lot younger and get carded sometimes. I seldom see My grandma on my dad side and when I saw her the first time in 10+ yrs she bluntly said you look the same, shes a scorpio.

But...as a mutable sign environment has a lot to do with how there values, opinions and behavior may or may not change.

I have this thing with my aunts, uncle and Grandmas, where they still see the young me, but they haven't seen the complete older side of me and how quickly I can firm up on external issues (Social issues, economic issues, etc).

So external the Gem will look as if they didn't age but internally thats where the change takes place.

For example I'm willing to bet Bob Hopes many relationships scared him and changed his views on relationships later on in life, but thats hidden within him.

Thanks for the welcome, but I'm the same user as DualGem. I forgot my password so I renamed to DualGemV2.

I guess it has some resemblance to this thread to say I don't know if I'm getting older since I forgot or do I have lots of things racing in my head?.

Hello DualGemV2, I can definitely understand your view on that with Gemini. I agree with you that a lot of it has to do with an internal age but that also environment is an enormous factor. Probably for a lot of people under every sign.
